I like Manhoef, he knocked out Mark Hunt in 18 seconds, impressive for anyone, let alone a middleweight.

The only thing that costs him this fight is his fragile chin. He has no ground game, but that's not really a concern with Marshall. I figure if he hadn't taken that fight with Brock Larson he probably would have made it to the UFC.

^^ Agreed JB1... Doug Marshal is gonna be in trouble standing in this fight.. I also like Manhoef over the Rhino in this one... I also doubt this fight lasts very long... Someone is getting KO'd and I think it's gonna be Doug Marshal...

Could be right Bumdeal.. Your logic is sound..

Doug comes in low and bangs for sure.. Has KO power... Still Manhoef is a beast standing and Doug Marshal seems a little more lucky then good in recent fights... Even as a dog it's hard to place on that in my mind..

The under round bet is -240 which I was looking at to be the safest play in this main event but those odds are stacked.. Both these sluggers probably don't get out of the 1st round in this one though.. -200 for Manhoef is a bit heavy for a straight play as well.... Not sure how I'm gonna play this one yet????

(9-1) Rafael Carvalho vs (11-6) Brian Rogers.. http://www.sherdog.com/fighter/Rafael-Carvalho-89589

This Brazilian dude Rafael is a bit unproven in the big leagues but I've watched vids on this guy today and I do think he can pick apart the inconsistent Brian Rodgers and eventually knock him out.. 4 inch height advantage going in might be enough in this match up to make all the difference...

(Partial Copy and paste below) I had to make a few corrections and additions to this write up -

Coming into the bout, Carvalho will be making his Bellator debut. If you watch his fights, Carvalho's length is usually a major factor. He understands how to fight tall, which is something every long fighter doesn't grasp.

He changes levels nicely with strikes and shows excellent counter punching skills.

Rogers is explosive, as evidenced by his KO of Adrian Miles with a flying knee at Bellator 119, but his defense is also a bit suspect at times. Alexander Shlemenko and Andreas Spang both scored stoppage wins over Rogers. Because of the way the two fighter's styles and frames mix, it's easy to see Rogers running into a nasty right hand or even a head kick from Carvalho.
In any case, Carvalho stays undefeated in his last 9 fights with a KO win in his Bellator debut.

    -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    Rafael Carvalho +140 - ($100 to win $140) Placed....

Main event fights after weigh ins -

Like Rafael Butler by KO early on but still unsure about this KID Yamauchi???.. Butler should win if he doesn't get clocked first, and the speed should be the difference with Kid Yamauchi for the win but just not that confident in that one..

Odds are nuts for both... Thinking about betting against Yamauchi to be honest.. Martin Stapelton is tough as nails... Might be a game time decision..

Been hammering out these 2 fights all day long... Do like Rafael Butler though even at -320.. Yipes...

Giving Ron Kelser a chance against Jessie Jaurez in this one as crazy as that sounds..

Sure Chubby Karo Parison just dropped Kesler but Kesler was winning that fight.. Rick Hawn lit him up too.. Even though Jessie Jaurez is a pretty tough out, Kelser should be winning this fight on points thru out and should be the more active fighter.. The question is will he get tired and or careless again in the 2nd or 3rd round and then get dropped???

At +170 I'm gonna roll the dice with Ron Kesler for small and see if it sticks.... This is gambling for sure in this scrap, like flipping a coin almost I think... Tail at own risk.... At almost 2-1 odds I had to take a stab at it.. http://www.sherdog.com/fighter/Ron-Keslar-8927

Gonna take a shot at Poppies Martinez at +265 for very small to start things off in this event.. http://www.sherdog.com/fighter/Poppies-Martinez-7160 Poppies last loss was to a pure wrestler in Bubba Jenkins.. Has no barring on this match up.. Just watched that vid..

He's fighting a 20 year old kid that is undefeated but really hasn't faced anyone as good as Poppies to date.. Pop Martinez is tough to KO, solid on the ground.. Will be at a speed disadvantage in this one but just maybe his experience and toughness will make up for it..http://www.sherdog.com/fighter/Julio...Neves-Jr-85818

I think he has a chance in this one anyways and those odds are just too tempting to pass up on.. Hate betting against undefeated fighters with over 10 pro fights, but this kid is only 20 and atleast 10 of his wins were certainly against total cans.. Padded record in other words.

    30 bucks placed to win 80.... x3...

The prelims have never been shown on Spike to my knowledge. Always a stream leading into the main card on Spike.

All Kesler in round 2.. Round 3 decides it.. This would be a nice dog win if Ron can keep it up for another round..
