He looks promising but his wrestling still hasn't been tested enough. From what I've seen, it's decent (and training with Reza Madadi is a good sign) but Niinimaki is likely good enough to get him down consistently.

I've seen CB rocked or dropped more times then I'd like to remember.. Good thing going for you in this distance bet is that Carmont doesn't have huge power in his striking.. Hense why alot of his fights have gone for decision victories recently.. He's not easily stopped or dropped himself.. Carmont has only been KO'd once and that was 10 years ago.. You know Carmont will last but CB is the question mark going in?

I hate to be wishy washy on my posts but the more I thought about this fight the more I'm not gonna touch it now.. I was thinking of playing a little money on Munoz but the dude is old, short, and like someone said in this thread - his shots are slow, predictable and stoppable.. His wrestling might not even come into play in this fight!!! Mousasi should simply be able to keep the fight standing, use his length, speed, technique and boxing skills to pick Munoz apart over rounds..

The fact that Munoz does hit hard and is a good wrestler, trains with other great fighters and has been in the cage with some other greats and held his own made me think try Munoz for a few bucks.. Not gonna happen now.....

I'm off Munoz and gonna stay away from this fight officially.. Just a fan now....

Tough fight to break down and pick but for the value you gotta like Matt Hobar at +215..

Both fighters lost 1 fight.. Pedro 10-1 coming off a tough decision loss and looking to rebound, Matt 8-1 lost his one fight 4 fights ago due to an arm injury so not sure you can even count that as a loss..

Both fighters are solid on the ground with maybe Pedro being a bit better, but standing I give the edge to Matt Hobar at 5'10.. Pedro Munhoz at 5'7" will be at a reach disadvantage and from what highlights I've seen, Hobar fights tall...

I'd say it's worth playing Matt Hobar.... He's still undefeated in my mind and can hold his own on the ground with his long limbs and standing I like his length as well..

O2.5 might be a good look or just parlay mousasi right now before he hit -500 by fight time lol. still munoz chin...but mousasi doesnt have explosiveness or real killer instrinct so O2.5 looks good for -150

I'm still thinking about this Stipe Miocic vs Maldonado fight ...

Maldonado is a beast standing. Stipe is the bigger man and I'm thinking he should be able to take Maldonado down and lay on him if he wants to.. Maldonado is a warrior standing and has legit boxing skills.. Reminds me a little of Nick Diaz with his punching volume and the way he comes forward.. He works the body well and seems to get stronger as the fight continues which is rare for Brazilian fighters...... This fight goes down in Brazil and they bring it on the home turf usually.. Brazilian Pride...

Size matters though and Stipe is on a roll lately and has fought the stiffer competition so I'm still going with Stipe but as a fan I'm STOKED to see this brawl go down especially if it stays standing!!!!!

Fan first probably, gambler second and have experience in the fine aspects of this sport.. Lived it and breathed it for many years..

I live in LA California, MECA FOR MMA!! Around most of the hottest gyms, fighters, etc... Staples center is right down the road from me.. MMA head quarters across the street, Bas Rutton and company.. I have met many MMA pro fighters in my day.. Werdum has a gym just down the street from where I live in Santa Monica.. Nice guy and probably his biggest weakness in my opinion.. Too nice.....

I'm not on this forum to make friends but it's nice if I do, just want to share information, get information and win bets... I hope you guys do the same and aren't too superstitious to share info.. We can all learn from factual information..

I know it takes time to crunch info, stats, figure out what fighters are doing what, who's hot and not, etc.. I love this sport and I think I can win money betting on it.. Not a pro though.. I am a team player...

I just wish you guys and capper pro's would explain why you disagree with my posts or other posts from others in detail so we can all gather info. about fighters and learn.. I'm willing to do my home work and share and not be superstitious in sharing that info.... What do I care?

You take paragraphs to tell us what we already know; if someone doesn't know that Mousasi is a sharp boxer, or that Munoz is going to try to take him down, then they've clearly never watched either of them fight. Your idea of "crunching info" is just posting wiki extracts and random, unrelated things that have no bearing on the fight, but that you try to spin to support the case of the fighter you bet on. It's like Gunshard, but Gunshard kept it short.

You're a nice guy, and I appreciate your positivity, but it can sometimes be redundant to read really obvious statements about fighters over and over. If I put "Jon Jones is really good" in every sentence, it would get tired pretty fast.

Wishful thinking with an undefeated fighter from Sweden at 7-0 I think...From what I can tell he got a contract with the UFC for flash KO's or highlight finishes against bums in my opinion.. Still he's 7-0.. Respect... Signed on with the UFC....

However, he's now fighting a legit guy in Tom Niinimaka with 26 fights under his belt and is coming off a win in the UFC Finale - this all means he has experience and has now been trained up with some studs..... This guy Tom has won 12 fights in a row himself and hasn't lost since 2007.. (sherdog stats) http://www.sherdog.com/fighter/Tom-Niinimaki-5639

I'd say Tom has Heaps of experience over the potential dynamic striker and unknown fighter in Nikalas Backstrom at 7-0... I'd personally load up on Tom to win this fight being a measly 2-1 favorite if the guy he was facing wasn't undefeated.. I hate betting against undefeated fighters!!!

Good luck Ronny if you do play Niklas as I think the odds should be way higher going in.. Like +400 maybe...

Undefeated fighters always pose some kind of legitimate risk if signed in the UFC in my book and against anyone...
