    TYSON FURY could swap the boxing ring for the *Octagon in a sensational one-off clash with the UFC world heavyweight *champion Cain Velasquez.
    Unbeaten Fury is on course for a world title tilt following his victory over Steve Cunningham in New York.
    He is still chasing that dream, but has been challenged by UFC *president Dana White to fight Velasquez.
    It follows several bitter *exchanges *between the two fighters.
    White said: “Come on over and we’ll make a deal. You want to fight Cain? You will get smashed.”
    Fury, 24, told me: “I have challenged him before and would consider taking him on in a one-fight deal – I would beat him and then return to boxing.
    “I’m definitely interested but the money would have to be right.”
    Fury, unbeaten in 21 fights, says that *Mexican-American Velasquez would be a no-hoper in what he says would be a ‘‘man versus midget’’ contest.
    He said: “I am 100% up for a fight with him. I’ve challenged him to a fight three times but he’s a little boy who doesn’t want to fight and has said ‘No’ to the fight live on television.”
    Velasquez, who has an MMA record of 11-1-0, certainly seems reluctant to accept Fury’s challenge.
    He said: “I’m not a boxer, I’m a mixed martial artist and if he wants to fight he can go into the UFC and work his way up like everybody else has to do.
    “I didn’t even know who he was until this and I think he’s using my name to gain publicity, which he has done.”
    Fury is confident of putting up a *better Octagon performance than former multiple-weight world boxing champion James Toney.
    He pestered White to fight in the UFC and met Randy Couture but lost in just over three minutes.
