Gabe, I like extra virgin olive oil.

Nunya, I've tried it, I still prefer oil. You're wrong about the cruelty though, it would be cruel to a human, but it's a surprisingly tame process and it's very arguable how much of a detriment it is to them in the short term (and they won't be around to experience the long-term consequences).

Didn't realize your avatar was ironic, bird-hater.

You shouldn't cook with olive oil, sir. The smoke point is too low which makes it taste bad and creates cancerous compounds.

What do you cook your steak with, ghee?

You say regular butter over oil?

I cook steaks in ghee, yes. Most everything else I cook in coconut oil or bacon fat, and finish with olive oil cold.

Rarely cook with butter, it is mostly used for adding body or flavor to something post cooking or for gently sweating items in. Because it contains approximately 10 percent milk solids once it reaches a temperature necessary for cooking most food it burns and turns extremely bitter. Ghee is clarified butter, which means that the milk solids have been removed, consequently it does not burn unless it hits a much, much higher temperature, and is appropriate for most cooking.

I perfer oil to clarified butter myself though, one more thing to be aware with oils is any "extra virgin" oil suffers from the same problem as regular butter, because it is not processed it contains a higher degree of impurities which is why it is called "extra virgin", the result of this is more taste but less cooking applications. Use extra virgin oils for flavour, dressings, or to finish a dish, use straight olive oil or pomace oil for cooking.

Also, a very easy topping for a steak, if you have a food processor, is to soften butter at room temperature and puree with an avocado, a healthy dose of lime juice, seasoning, a hint of tobacso if you want it. Puree until smooth then roll the butter in parchment paper into a tube shape, freeze it, then cut it into slices and serve it on top of a steak.

    very simple, fockin amazin.

Nice coversation above, time for this fight now. Hopefully Caceres doesn't try to fight off his back for the submission in this one like he tends to do. Don't think that'll work today. Also, why is this fight on Facebook? Caceres deserves TV by now.

He is underage, so its illegal for him to fight. They are operating under the assumption that the only people watching the youtube feed are degenerate gamblers without a moral compass who will not report this to the authorities.

    They are probaby correct.

They are right with that one, but I think they screwed up by putting him on TUF then.

Not that shocking, 2nd was 50-50 IMO. Thought there would be home cooking, guess not. Really hope there is no more Kang though. UFC doesn't need him.

I scored rounds 2 and 3 for Caceres. 1 for Kang but I could see a bad judge giving Caceres that round too.

had to think Caceres would get the decision if it was close...he's more flashy and since there's $ in the flashiness, it was the right play

Not really... I see no argument for a caceres win and I'm curious what the online judging consensus will say, I'd be surprised to see anyone scoring it for leroy.

Right play? you won my friend but in retrospect it was the donk play and caceres backers got lucky imo - kang was the right play especially when you take into account the odds.

I was being half sarcastic about it being the right play but in a close fight they're gonna give it to the more marketable fighter, but if it helps you sleep at night you can call it a donk play. ...and the odds weren't bad at -120

I'm not saying Caceres should've won. I was big on Kang. But a split decision in a fight with 2 clear rounds and one close round isn't a "horrible" robbery, its just a bad decision.
