    MyVegas

There's an app on facebook called MyVegas. You play slots and blackjack and earn loyalty points. You can use those points to redeem for free Vegas shit. Right now my goal is the 2 night free stay at a Mandalay Bay suite for 100,000 points. I started last night and am up to 3,000 points, so not bad.

Any of you guys love Vegas as much as I do?

Nunya, you said you fav buffet was at the Cosmo. Did you mean the one inside Wicked Spoon?

Let's keep this thread going for anything Vegas related.

Wicked Spoon is the name of the Buffet at the Cosmo, yes sir.

Honestly I don't enjoy Vegas very much. I am a misanthrope and despise being around all those knuckle-dragging morons.

I didn't notice them my last time out. I just enjoyed myself. Relaxed in my spa suite, hit the sports book, had some nice meals. Great time. My go to place when I need to get away.

Love Vegas myself. Get there a couple times a year. Love getting hammered at the Belagio sportbook.

Where do you guys like to stay?

Big Day, you always stay at Bellagio?

Yellowtail at Bellagio is some of the best sushi I've ever had.

So far, I've stayed at Mandalay Bay, Excalibur, Monte Carlo (3 times,) and Mirage.

BTW Big Day, there is an annual rodeo going on in Vegas right now. Figured it'd be your scene!

I love me a good rodeo. I go to a few up here at the Excel Center every year. My brother and I rode broncs for a couple years. Fukking hurts when you fall man. That was 10 years ago. I rarely even get on a horse now.

However, If my brother go to a bar with a mechanical bull competition, one of us is bringing home the cash$$. ussualy they advertise $100 - $200 cash prize for whoever rides longest... We always roll in late with our boots and hat. Brought the spurs one time too.. That was an old ND bar. Ever heard of a guy named Justin McBride??

If I'm on the strip I ussualy try to stay as close to the Bellagio as thats where I like to chill at a sportbook. Ceasars is nice too. I try to mix it up as to where I stay. Somewhere new almost everytime just to change it up.

At an angelman syndrome gala, there was a silent auction and I bid on a 2 night stay at the 4 seasons. Will be a little walk to Bellagio but the Mrs should like it. So that's where I will be staying next.

Four Seasons in Vegas is just a hotel, right? No casino inside? I generally try to stay where they have a casino. I've got Cosmopolitan booked for my next trip, took advantage of a cyber monday deal they had going on. Got my room for half price. I am bummed I missed out on their best offer, 2 nights in a wraparound suite for $500 (both nights. it's normally like $800/night) plus a $500 resort credit... Pretty much getting a $2k suite for free

    Very nice!

Yup, four seasons just a resort/hotel. Nice one though. Most likely be heading in the direction of the Mandalay Bay or something during the day. I honestly don't sit down at too many table games or slots when I go. Sportbook or bust for me. Then mmachicka gets me in the shops... -EV I just hope my tickets cash so I can pay for the shopping. I swear it's a new handbag everytime we go.

Gonna go during Superbowl Weekend and go back, stay during the March Madness NCAA tournament.

Let's hit it up cousin, make some parlays make a couple thousand, have a beer, win some more parlays, smoke a fat blunt with wax in it, then enjoy our winnings at the buffet like a boss

I love playing slots... Plus, it's what the casinos favor most, in terms of hooking you up with comps. If you spend a lot of time/money on slots, you will start getting some nice complimentary offers from mLife. With your bankroll, I'm sure you'll rack up a lot of points in no time and start getting comp overs to stay in suites.

I'll be there Superbowl weekend, too... Might spend an entire week down there, my bday is on the 5th. I'll be at Cosmo on the 5th and 6th. Have a comped night in a suite at Monte Carlo, so will spend one of the nights there, too. Besides that, not sure where else. Hopefully I'll rack up enough points on MyVegas to get that 2 night Mandalay Bay suite. It would be my first time staying in Vegas more than 3 days. I did 3 the last time. The previous 5 times had all been 2 nighters.

The comps won't come close to make up for what you're losing on slots, however. But, let me guess, you're killing them, right?

Video Poker is the way to winning at comps, or else counting cards if you can handle it.

If you're big into the comp game and giving them serious action, don't worry about your point balance or offers. After your stay, but before you check out, talk to a casino host. Tell them to look at your action and tell them you would like your rooms comped. Charge all your meals and what not to your room and ask to get those comped too. They might not comp everything, but they almost always take care of some of it, and then you can still use your points for other things.

You still get comped if you're losing. I killed it on the slots on my first trip, went home with exactly how much I arrived to Vegas with. Had a free trip, pretty much. A couple days later, I started getting all kinds of offers from free rooms from all MGM properties.

I haven't gotten the hang of video poker yet.

I personally don't gamble as much anymore. Mostly sportsbook, and you don't get sh*t for that.

I know you still get comped if you're losing, silly.

The trick is to make more in comps than what you lose. At video poker it's easy to know your exact loss rate, which isn't something you can do with slots.

If you haven't played at the Cosmo before I can show you how to make ~$99 in EV risk free from them.

The expected value is actually higher than that, but its too difficult to calculate.

Ok, they have a $100 on US promo http://www.cosmopolitanlasvegas.com/...romotions.aspx

Lots of casinos have reimbursement freeplays, but they're usually good on only the day you sign up. This one is good any day you choose.

So, the proper way to play it is:

    1) Sign up for the Identity card at the player's club booth.
    2) Find the biggest video poker machine you can, best I found was $10, so $50 a hand. Put $100 in it. Play until you are over $100 or until you lose the full $100.
    3) If you lose the full $100 go back to the players club and tell them you want the $100 reimbursement. Then find the smallest video poker you can find ($0.01 100 play is perfect) and play through the freeplay slowly, you should get around $98 back.

If, however you WON on the first day, quit playing at the cosmo for the day. Return the next day and repeat step 2. You can keep doing it every day as long as you win, and finally take the reimbursement on the day you finally lose.

When I did it last summer, it went something like this:

day 1 $50 profit (wife busted, made got $105 off the reimbursement)
    day 2 $150 profit
    day 3 $150 profit
    day 4 $50 profit
day 5 busted, took the reimbursement and got $94 back.

Also, make sure on one of those days you spin the wheel by the players club, you can get all sorts of free stuff, I got a free buffet, wife got a free drink at some bar.

I count how much money I use for slots... and I used to log into my players club account to see what my win/loss ratio was... not sure if mlife offers the same feature

you could make unlimited money, it's just going to end up costing you $100 of which you can then make ~$98 back.

Edit: Had it a little backwards

Come on man, you have to know by now that your actual results don't matter, expectation is what is important. Any given slot pays back a certain percentage. It doesn't matter how YOU did THAT day. Picking winnerz at the slot machine now?

Most of those promotions have dried up now, they were last summer. A couple guys here hit them and promised me a cut, not that I ever received it. There's still $1000 or so in good ones, but the cosmo one is the best and easiest and if you can't understand that you won't understand the others.

I find it hard to get bored sitting at a slot machine, especially if I'm winning. They're quite addictive.

Think of it like this, if you bet me $100 on a flip of coin. If you win, you get $100, if you lose you lose $100. I will play you once per day as long as you want, and on any day that you lose you can choose I will give you $95 back.

Sure, 50% of the time you lose immediately, take your $95 and you're out $5.
25% of the time you win the first day, so you win $100, then lose $5 for $95 profit.
12.5% of the time you win two in a row for $195 profit
6.25% of the time you win three in a row for $295 profit.
3.125% of the time you win four $395 profit.

    Repeat until infinity.

Picking winners at the slot machine? wtf lol I guess you did not understand what I said?

What do you mean it doesn't matter how I did? I gain points depending on how I do. If my points/comps don't reflect how I did that day, then whos play effects it? lol not makin sense, man.

Another decent one is go to Circus Circus, they have a form by the players club desk where you can buy something like $30 in non-negotiable chips for $20, but really they'll let you do it 3 times for $90 for $60. Non-negotiable chips means you can't cash them out, but you can play with them over and over and over until you lose them.

Best way to play them is put them on one roll at craps (don't pass or passline), if you win, take the cash chips and leave the non-negotiables and keep repeating.

It's still profitable to just grind them at blackjack $10 a hand or whatever, but not as much so.

It would be almost impossible. If you ran really really bad you might only get $80.
