Do You Think MMA Betting Is A Sucker Bet??

    I rarely bet them
I think many fights rigged and if not just unpredictable street fighters nicer up
Once this sport became popular things got fishy

    It's all about making money

Just have to be on the correct side on the fixed fights. Works out well then.

It's easier to gamble on MMA than on Team sports.
11 people vs 11 people in the NFL, compared to 1 person vs 1 person in MMA.
Easier to analyze the pro and cons between two people than two teams:
    http://www.sportsbookreview.com/forum/boxing-mma...jah-faber.html

Just bet on fighters that finish most of their fights. Avoid the fighters that go to the judges decision. Judges can rarely mess up the outcome.

For me, my spreadsheet shows that it's much easier for me to bet on MMA than on Football.

Probably because he bet on Jones at -700 against Henderson before it was cancelled so stake was returned

i gotta say, a good percentage of my losses have been unjust decisions and what not, like andy ogle, benavidez, and lance benoist from recent cards. all big plays. ogle's was the biggest robbery since boetsch/lombard, which was the biggest robbery since mizugaki/cariasco.

Lines used to be very soft. Knowledgeable fans could beat MMA without picking off #s. Now the numbers are getting better, more volume and limits are giong up. The handful of guys setting markets the books in MMA would tell you that they and others could still bet it and beat the books up good.

Was Ogle's loss really that big of a robbery? I haven't seen the video of it yet but being at the venue it seemed Corrassani might of deserved it based on the knockdowns. Didnt he knock him down 3 or 4 times? I guess depends how much weight you give to knockdowns and also one of them was just after or on the bell? And did Ogle knock Corassani down in first round? We got to our seat in arena about half way point of the first round so missed some of it

Not well. Went 3-0 on Saturday though. Hathaway, Wiman, and Struve. Felt better.

Should have a couple larger wagers for the event this Saturday.

    kimbo slice -500

everyone said it was a LOCK... TV had too much invested in him winning.

to me , it looked like he lost but he was given the win

i won the bet and never made another

Dude I lost $$$ on Benoist, Benevidez, and Ogle... I must say, I think they were all legit decisions, hardly robberies. You must be thanking your lucky stars with Bendo and Frankie, because Frankie won that fight, that was a robbery. Just saying...

My most profitable sport I bet by far. If you follow the sport, the betting isn't rocket science.

Just like in any sport judges/refs can get in the way. Who lost money on the Packers/Seattle game?

MMA was easy easy easy money a couple years ago. Now the odds have become tighter and betting has become harder. But it isn't as tough as most sports.

Easy sport to win at - dogs are very live.

However if you don't know what you are doing any bet can be a sucker bet.

That is why MMA is great to bet. The dogs are 75% live dogs. Unlike boxing.

At the same time though you get such good odds on favorites that are virtual locks. If you bet Silva and GSP the last I don't know, 22 times? You didn't lose. And the juice is usually -300 to -550. Where as boxing virtual locks are -800 to -1500 and up. And 5 round main events usually don't go to the judges, where as boxing has a lot of decisions for the judges to mess up. Tim Bradley won on a terrible decision. Silva or GSP haven't been burned by a bad decision their whole careers.

Then look at Jon Jones who you were able to get at -120 when he won his title. And -300 to -450 many times after that.

If you can spot out the real talents of the sport you can make easy money on them. At the same time there are live dogs on every card.

    Plus prop betting is unmatched.
