The video from ESPN Deportes doesn't seem that legit. If he was really that out of shape and couldn't do more than 3 push ups in a row, there's no way his team would let that be video taped or get out. Maybe some head games going on here.

Im picking Martinez and so is everybody else whos opinion I give a damn about. Chavez takes way too many punches. Martinez is gonna set him up and crack him with counters all night, I wouldnt be surprised at all if he stops Chavez even though he'll probably out weigh him by 20 pounds fight night ha

Gotta go with the Martinez the more skilled fighter, I think he'll turn Chavez like a 2 dollar whore all night long and outbox him to a decision or late ko. Chavez is an arum fighter though so a robbery is always on the table. Might straddle with Chavez by decision.

It depends in my opinion on the Martinez that shows up. KO hunting Martinez will lose. Boxing Martinez will win.

Really not sure what to make of the video overall.

i was gonna lay $100 on chavez... just because the way boxing is right now!
but now that i have opened my eyes....i realize martinez is gonna kill this kid
chavez is gonna be chavez and get hit...he thinks he has a chin but he has
never fought any1 with sergios power...chavez jr's gameplan will simply be
what he always does..try to get in front and fight toe to toe..bad idea!!!

Even though I'm putting down on Martinez... there's a good chance Chavez Jr. can win too. Dude is a straight pressure puncher, Sergio fights with his hands down and if he's trapped against the ropes, who knows what will happen against the bigger man. If JCC Jr. can just eat punches until Sergio gets tired, he can take this.

yea, but i dont see martinez getting tired at all...dudes a beast at conditioning (remember he use to play soccer and was a bicyclist) chavez jr will eat punches no matter what...did u see his face after the zbik fight>>? so if sergio hits harder then zbik ...chavez jr's face will be rearranged that night!

Yea, but he hasn't fought a straight pressure fighter in a while... and Chavez Jr., although I don't like him, is going to pressure the crap out of him. He'll be bigger and stronger.
Martinez, he starts fast, rests in the middle and then finishes strong. He'll get his shots on Chavez as he's open more than a high school slut's legs.... but if Chavez just keeps coming even after all those hits, Martinez might be in trouble.
I'm still siding with martinez by stoppage though

My money is on Martinez by KO. I doubt he'll win a decision and either way I do not think he wants to leave it at the judge's hands after his fight against Cintron. Chavez Jr has not been tested properly and I think he will find himself in deep trouble against Martinez, there were some reports that he was skipping practice a couple of weeks ago (don't really know if it's true) and no matter how good his chin is eventually he will go down. Martinez has impressive wins against beasts like Kelly Pavlik and Paul Williams and even though one of his losses came against a pressure fighter like Margarito we got to remember that was a long time ago (it's like bringing up that Pacman has been knocked out twice, he has changed a lot since then).

Good point and I can actually see this happening, but I think Martinez hits harder than anyone Chavez has faced previously and Martinez has pretty good stamina. And we all know a good chin can get worn out eventually. This is a bad example but look at Chisora, great chin against Vitali but eventually Haye got him and then he was out.

The only way I see Chavez Jr. winning is if they pull a pacquiao vs bradley and hand him a decision victory when he clearly loses the fight

Anyone ever take into play, that Chaves Jr or his dad are connected to Mexican drug lords. A little money to the judges can make it so if it goes all the way Chaves Jr will get the decision? The only way I see Chaves Jr losing is if he gets knocked out in the 8th?

It's a shame man, because I am pretty sure Ward is gonna ruin that otherwise really nice parlay. I assume you're gonna hedge with Ward by Decision and a sprinkle on JCC (though it seems like you could leave the latter)?

Dawson is a slick mofo man, he can win this.

edit: Holy f--- though, that's some serious amount of money on the line there. I'd hedge that if I were you.

Yeah Martinez takes Chavez out so i wouldn't sweat that one. The Dawson v. Ward fight will be the nail bitter. Take solace in the fact that you have a top 5 p4p going for you. Unfortunately he's fighting another top 5 p4p. If Dawson can't pull it off though, not sure who could knock off Ward....

Holy sh-t. Damn. Sick money there. Joe will probably beat MM so your only real worry should be Ward vs Dawson. You're gonna chew off all your nails while they announce that decision.
