Chris Weidman who is currently unbeaten as a professional fighter faces up against Mark Munoz tonight in the octagon. Both fighters are fairly evenly matched with similar backgrounds in Brazilian Ju-Jitsu and wrestling but it is Munoz who has the better knockout record, primarily due to the fact he has been in the game longer. Munoz hailing is a considered a gentleman amongst gentleman in the sport but once the octagon door closes it’s all or nothing as the Filipino prepares to snatch victory. ‘I always make my weaknesses my strengths and I am definitely looking forward to this fight. I always look at every fight as having to beat myself, not the other guy standing across the octagon…I always want to make a better performance’’ said Munoz.
Relative newcomer to UFC, Chris Weidman is looking at fighting himself to contender status, Not known for his punching power the 28 year olds desire cannot be knocked, ‘Every fight I always feel as though it’s the most important fight ever, but this fight really has a lot of opportunities it is going to open up for me later. It’s Huge’.
Currently Weidman is the favourite at the
