The Sun newspaper is hyping this up to be the fight of the century. Laughable indeed but given the current state of heavyweight boxing it might be the best we have seen in a while and you've got to take what you can get. David Haye returns after his woeful performance against Wladimir Klitschko and the now infamous broken toe debacle whilst Derreck 'Del Boy' Chisora, whose last fight was against Vitali Klitscko is back after a much braver performance against the elder of the Ukrainian siblings .
What makes this fight so special is the handbags (and corkscrews) drama we saw at the post fight interview of Vitali and Chisora, where Haye and Del Boy got into a scrap amongst the international press, the latter threatening to 'physically shoot David Haye'. Part of Chisora’s purse from the Klitschko fight was withheld from the Londoner for his part in the brawl and now he will be rightfully fuming with Haye for denting his pocket.
So will resident pantomime villain David ‘gay for pay’ Haye put up a fight in this match or will he just collect the pay cheque? Too much at stake for him now with all the controversy he has created. Expect Haye to pour more misery on Chisora.
