    "Broken Jaw" -- Never hope for anything negative for a fighter, but his jaw better be broken, because if after an x-ray it is shown that its not, then his career as anything more than a midcarder is likely over

    Very close fight.. then they looked at the score card and Ortiz was up by a wide margin which is absolute nonsense.

    You know, I had a hunch if the going got tough Ortiz would quit, again, and sure enough he wussed out and made the difference between having a good weekend and barely making anything. Never bet on a fighter who is emotionally weak like Ortiz. A guy like Ortiz needs to find a new occupation. This is three instances where he's given up or done something extremely stupid in the ring and I for one will never, ever bet on his sorry ass again.

    But the thing is he quit in the exact same manner against maidana without even being injured. He was just losing the fight and wanted out. He expected his corner (robert garcia) to throw in the towel but they didn't. Caused him to switch camps started training with garcias brother to spite him, Robert said ortiz is a pussy with no heart.

    When he headbutted mayweather that was his way of quitting then as well.

    I picked up on his discomfort in the middle rounds. I think it was broken in the 6th, he whispered into his trainer's ear and the body language told me something happened there. Victor Ortiz is the last guy who can afford to quit any fights. He doesn't have a fighters heart. Quitting on the stool robbed boxing fans of a 50/50 fight going into the championship rounds. Unacceptable.

    Give me Cotto/Canelo, Showtime/Golden Boy.

    Right, Ortiz has got a lot of money now but his head is not in the game. Its a shame because he has a lot of talent. The problem here is the first time he quit. If he hadnt quit against Maidana I think people would give him the benefit of the doubt here. A broken jaw is no joke. But even before that I was thinking that Lopez really came to fight last night. Not what Ortiz was looking for.

    i had 2k on matthysse at -215...was talking to "rocky mattioli" about this and other fights in pm's.....loved this play...line was around 220 all week....checked it in the morning saturday and was up to 225....i went to place my wager in the evening around 8 oclock and it was at 215..i wanted to make a post touting this play but i didnt get a chance...i thought it was a slam dunk play

    soto is a career 130-135 guy...the 140 guys on his resume are nobodies....the guy is chasing money fights.....while you have a guy like matthysse who actually beat devon in the lou....handled zab....these are legit 140 guys who have been up at 147 too.....it was an easy play....loved it....

    We are talking about yesterday and IF he had a broken jaw, then its totally acceptable to throw in the towel. Your only hurting yourself further and putting your career in jeopardy. Broken Jaw is no joke.

    He didn't quit vs. Floyd ... I don't even see where you may have a point to be honest. Dirty as hell, absolutely .. but quit? Don't let your bias against someone or something blind you from what is actually going on.

    yeah this was a great fight though, wish it would of seen more of it. but it certainly looked like he was alot of pain. blood bleeding nonstop out of his mouth.
    was watching this on my new tv which is hd * 10. can't wait for the football season, and need to call up my cable company to see how much espn 3d channel is. might be worth checking out for the football season, i know they only put 2-3 games on their a week then replay it so it can't be that much.
