So they basically took the finalists from TUF Brazil, added in a wand vs rich main event and made a PPV out of it? Wand and Vitor were the coaches, so this is basically the TUF finale in a PPV form. Jesus.

Also have never watched a full episode of the show.

    Crap card.

Only about 4 matchups I'm even remotely interested in for both events.

Upset about my Brazil-raised Armenian being dropped from the TUF finale due to injury. He would have won it.

Don't know most of these fighters. I'm a spot bettor, skipping this event.

Werdum wins. And probably inside the distance. Honestly what can Russow do? He can't stand with Werdum, he couldn't stand with the Werdum of 4 years ago let alone the better striker he is now. He has wrestling....but who wants to ever be in Werdum's guard? Werdum would sweep him and sub him. Or just triangle him from the start. Werdum has had better competition and will be fighting in Brazil.

Russow had a tough time with John Olav Einemo.

Hell, I'm not even certain Russow could get Werdum when he wants. Werdum is a big boy with good leverage. Russow is a 35 year old one-dimensional fighter. Even if Russow gets him down he won't move much. Brazil refs won't have that.

Werdum wins inside the distance unless Russow stays away from his guard and survives a stand up fight like Roy Nelson did.

even though UFC 134 and 142 were in Brazil, i'm still curious to see the judging when a Brazilian faces a non-Brazilian. Very few fights went to decision. Stout/Tavares (134) and Barboza/Pearson (142) were 2 of the closer fights and both went to the Brazilians. Maybe something to consider in the Franklin/Silva fight

But yea, really disappointing card for a ppv, shit, they could have the next couple free cards be more suitable for a ppv than this card...!!!!

In the end though its one of the first ppvs in a while that wasn't a clear cut travesty to pay money for, so we can't gripe too much I guess..

Well, I watched all the TUF, although I regret to buy tickets for UFC 147, I have to say that there are great opportunities to bet on this card, especially in the fights: Mutant vs Serginho and Jason vs Pepey.

Anyone notice the Brazilian home advantage from the previous UFC events in Brazil?

If this theory is true, Franklin and Russow would lose their fights.

With the change on the main card, fans who purchased tickets for the event will now officially have three (3) days to decide whether to seek a full refund.

Hedged Silva/Franklin goes the distance at +340 with Silva ITD at +208...Not sure I should have just made a straight play on Not Franklin ITD but that line of +340 was too difficult to reject. Wondering if the hedge plays I went with was smart purely in terms of MMAmath as opposed to the Not Franklin ITD play at -114

    Where you at Nunya?

Im no nunya. But I believe your odds came out to -123 instead of the -114. Not too bad but slightly worse.

I think Franklin has a good chance at winning ITD, so you might get royally screwed on this fight.

I would say the most likely outcome is for Franklin to win by KO within 2 rounds.
