He just needs to go into gen pop. Gen pop in the ccdc class that he is going to be in is like glorified detention. yeah you dont have the pleasures of home but no one is going to mess with you there. He will be in with the dudes that are locked up for bench warrants for dumb stuff like not paying child support. Its not like its like Rikers up in there. The freaking detention center is behind the Golden Nugget casino for god's sake.

The 35-year-old's physical conditioning is deteriorating under the stress of being jailed at the Clark County Detention Center, and he is being held in "inhumane conditions," lawyer Richard Wright said in the motion filed Monday.

I've been to jail and I could tell you that the one thing mayweather is right now is bored. Jail is extremely boring, there is nothing to do but think and sleep. The food is crap, the pigs behind bars act differently when they know no one is watching but act like they're the "good guys" when they're in public. Peanut butter and jelly sandwiches and small box juices, disgusting meals that taste like rubber is what you eat. If jail is good for one thing it's good for opening your eyes to the reality of what the world really is a jail in itself.

The pressure is psychological, if you can't stop thinking about getting out you're going to break down sooner or later from mental exhaustion. Plus you gotta take shits in front of 20 + grown men and have people take shits next to your bed. Personally all jail did was make me angry and not trust anyone.

He is in PC alone for 23 hours a day. They probably bring him whatever everyone else gets. It's not like they are cooking steaks just for him. He probably gets a lot of shit from commissary but that is just junk food anyways.

This has definitely been in Mayweather's lawyers plans way before he even got to jail. He could be eating filet mignon and training in a private jailhouse gym and this still would have happened

Clark County like most counties is struggling financially so an offer should be made to Mayweather allowing him to serve the remainder of his time under house arrest in return for donating the $32 million he made fighting Cotto to the County.

Mayweather is NOT a danger to society and jail/prison is all about paying back society for wrongdoing.

Allow him to go home under house arrest in return for the $32 million. That way, everybody wins.

Floyd said he took a deal cause he didn't wanna have to deal with a really long trial and put his kids through all that.. there's also no actual evidence, only that a disagreement occurred. Come on now, famous millionaire athletes with less that scrupulous circumstances will have to go through some bullshyt

bob arum has been blatantly ducking the biggest fight in the sport for 3 years now.....and most uninformed retards have pinned blame on floyd

he pulls his most heinous maneuver yet....which was to rob his top star....and people wanna talk about floyd in jail, call him a f\*g, and wish he gets raped in jail...lol

"In recent years, Arum and Top Rank have become somewhat notorious for their reluctance to make big fights with boxers promoted by other companies. Part of this is due to bad blood between Top Rank and the sport's other leading promotional company, Oscar De La Hoya's Golden Boy Productions. But rivalries aside, business is always better for Top Rank when they schedule a pay-per-view fight between two Top Rank stars. That way, once the fighters receive their guaranteed purses and negotiated percentages of the TV revenue, the rest of the pie goes straight to Top Rank. If Top Rank were to stage a fight in conjunction with Golden Boy or another major promoter, the company's earnings would essentially be cut in half. This is believed to be why Bradley was never considered a likely opponent for Pacquiao until last year, when he left his former promoter and signed with Top Rank. It's also one of the reasons why a fight between Manny Pacquiao and Floyd Mayweather has never been made. Even though Mayweather-Pacquiao would create the biggest payday in boxing history, Top Rank and Mayweather's team would have to split that payday and the resulting profits might not exceed what Top Rank can make by pitting Pacquiao against an in-house fighter, even if the opponent is nowhere near as talented or famous as Mayweather.
Top Rank prefers to match Pacquiao with its own fighters, but Pacquiao has beaten nearly every credible foe (Miguel Cotto, Joshua Clottey, Antonio Margarito, Shane Mosley, and Marquez were all with the company when they fought Pacquiao) in Top Rank's stable in recent years. According to the conspiracy theory, Pacquiao's loss to Bradley solved the problem of finding Manny a November opponent. Instead of force-feeding the public a fourth Marquez fight, Top Rank can stage the Pacquiao-Bradley rematch, and they can reasonably expect the fight to generate greater profits than the first one, since Bradley's public profile will grow and boxing fans will be keen to watch Pacquiao attempt to set the record straight with a knockout. Additionally, boxing trainer and analyst Teddy Atlas has suggested that with Pacquiao's contract with Top Rank ending in 2013, the fighter may choose to leave the company next year. This would allow Pacquiao to negotiate his own promotional deals like Mayweather does. By doing so, Pacquiao would presumably be able to claim a much fatter slice of the earnings pie from his fights. According to this tributary of the conspiracy theory, Saturday night may have been Top Rank's way of sending a message to Pacquiao: If you choose to leave next year, you might be doing so with two fresh losses on your record, and Mayweather might decide he no longer has to prove that he can beat you."

this has got to be the most assinine thing ive ever read on here.

so we should have 2 seperate laws for criminals.... where the super rich can commit crimes then go free by simply writing a check? how does that teach them that they cant go around punching, assaulting, raping and killing people? it wont. it will teach them that they are above the law as long as they got money. gee more entitlement for the rich from their biggest ass kisser.

and what about the victims.... dont they deserve justice? oh right, you probably think romney's victim who was bullied and assaulted deserved it because he was poor.

you sound like a typical broke neo-con who kisses the ass of the rich elite hoping they will give you some handouts.

Nobody ever "plans" to do time. Shit just happens. I did time in solitary for shit I didn't do. The only good thing about solitary is that you won't get fukked with and people think you're either crazy as shit or very high up in the food chain. You don't want to spend a minute locked up and most people would pay millions if they had it to get out but once you do the time and look back on it, it don't seem as bad as it was.

I don't think they will let him out. They'll just try to adjust his regimen. He's going to have to man up and chill.

Bobby, $32 million is about 6 months pay for Mayweather (assuming he fights 2X/year). Would you give up 6 months of your income if it meant not having to serve 90 days in jail (23 hour isolation)? I bet you would. I know I would.

You've had it out for Floyd as have others long before this court case. He's rich, you believe him to be "arrogant", he's black, and speaks his mind. Most of his haters, who by the way knock him more feverishly than "fan boys" defend him, dislike him for any of those four reasons.

None of us were there. Facing an overzealous DA and a boatload of charges, anyone would plea out rather than put his fate in the hands of a jury. Juries acquit people like Casey Anthony and convict people like that HS player who had consensual sex with a classmate. Being a savvy gambler, reckon Floyd didn't like those odds.

I'm sure he's familiar with Mike Tyson, who should have taken the plea deal instead he went to jail for a rape he didn't commit. Had to do 3 years of a 6 year sentence that basically ruined his career. If you can plea out and do the time then many times it's better than risking the consequences. 90 days versus 8 - 10 years is a no brainer, especially when you have so many people (like in this forum) who hate Mayweather for whatever reason. Could he get a fair trial? Could he get a jury of his own peers? Not unless they find 12 people like 50 cent.
