    Tuf 15: Live

Hey everyone. Since this season of TUF will be Live I read on twitter today that the sportsbooks will, in fact, be handicapping the fights (it was retweeted by Nick Kalikas so I trust the source).

I've created a thread for the purpose of gathering information on fighters, posting of video links (don't post your Dakota Cochrane videos Gabe), list training camps/experience, etc.

Can we please NOT talk about who will win or lose until odds are posted?
There could be good opportunities to win large sums with mispriced fights so posting picks before lines are out will just hurt everyone trying to bet on TUF Live.
Here are the Sherdog Fight Finder links to all 32 contestants:

    Akbarh "El Caballero" Arreola (19-6)

    Erin "Dead Aim" Beach (3-1)

    Jared Carlsten (3-0)

    Mike "Maverick" Chiesa (7-0)

    Dakota Cochrane (11-2)

    John Cofer (7-1)

    Daron Cruickshank (10-2)

    Drew Dober (7-3)

    Mark Glover (6-1)

    Chase "Prison Stare" Hackett (4-1)

    Al Iaquinta (5-1)

    Myles "The Fury" Jury (9-0)

    "The" James Krause (15-4)

    Jeremy Larsen (8-2)

Justin "The American Kid" Lawrence (3-0)

    Austin Lyons (9-1)

    Ali "Insane" Maclean (9-5)

    Cristiano Marcello (12-3)

    Andy Ogle (8-1)

    Cody Pfister (6-3)

    Vinc Pichel (6-0)

    Joey Proctor (7-1)

    Jordan Rinaldi (5-0)

    Mike "The Wolverine" Rio (8-1)

Chris "The So Cal Kid" Saunders (9-2)

    Sam Sicilia (10-0)

    Jeff Smith (9-1)

    Chris "Badboy" Tickle (7-4)

    Jon "Super Saiyan" Tuck (6-0)

    James Vick (4-0)

Johnavan "The Immortal Warrior" Vistante (3-1)

    Brendan Weafer (6-3)

If anyone has links to fight videos, training videos, etc. please add.

    Thanks!

Andy Ogle is a decent prospect from Newcastle area....trained with Pearson and resembles him in a lot of ways. Protege of Peter Irving

Jordan Rinaldi...purple-belt under Royce Gracie...wrestling background...arm-barred the much bigger Tenyeh Dixon in last fight and choked out Dennis Bermudez in first round fight before that.

You can get a better idea of his footwork and speed here, he recovers from a big right hook fairly well.

One thing to bare in mind is the weight aspect... this season is 155lbs...which of these guys have potential to be legit 155lbers and which are actually 145ers fighting at this weight because they wanted to get on TUF desperately. For instance Andy Ogle is 5ft 9 and fought his last fight at 145. Like of "Prison Stare" meanwhile are 6ft 1 and seems to be a legit 155er. Doesnt mean Ogle wont go in there and smash Mr Prison Stare if they fight....but something to consider

He beat another good prospect in Shay Walsh in his last fight, albeit at 145. Both Ogle and Walsh were in the running for UK MMA Best Prospect of the Year award last year but Adam Parkes got it which was questionable seeing as he'd only had one fight in 2011 against a inexperienced and mediocre fighter in Ben Whitehead (main reason he got it was because he is part of Wolfslair...friends in right places!). Ogle was expected to win it seeing as he'd beaten Walsh who was also in the running for it.

I think so. I tweeted Nick Kalikas if he knows whether the 16 match ups will be known before Friday so that all of those matches can be bet on because that is a LOOOOOT of fights to cap. LOL

Jared Carlsten recently got his BJJ black-belt from Eddie Bravo...very dangerous ground game..one of most flexible dudes u'll ever see...but has faced three cans so far in his short pro MMA career.

Check out his TUF audition video... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kSz7f6d2xyQ

I think Crazy horse told him he was next...

I saw Akbar Arreola submit "The" Gabe Ruediger here in Mexico city in my second event live (like 2-3 years ago). Pretty scrappy dude but he might get smothered out.

Geez Cristiano Marcelo reminds me of the elderly misfit who's in college.

Seems like a bit of an outlier in a house filled with guys who are barely of legal age to drink and act like it...

I think they're filming & editing it today. How is it possible to have 16 fights fit into 2.5 hours live (even less because you have footage of the inaugural meeting of this season's coaches, Dana's raw-raw speech, etc which were filmed over the past two days)?

It's just not possible for all 16 fights to be live, even with plenty of finishes...

I just hope they announce the fight matchups at the end of every episode (doubtful if a fight goes 3 rounds, no time to re-convene and state the next matchup post-fight) or make it available online so that we can have weekly fights to bet on.

Most of all, I hope there's a futures bet on which of the 16 contestants will be the TUF winner. That would be fun.

I'm assuming the fights to get in the house are 2 round fights (as in the past). In that case, 2.5 hours is plenty of time.

After this week, I would expect bettable matchups. But this is all speculation. The UFC has been pretty tight lipped about the entire process.

Negative my good man. No time for that. One 5-minute round... I knew something had to give.

With a bunch of nobody's I don't understand why it is live. Especially only 1 round. I would much rather watch many fights with no time limit (like the original ufc) until a fighter either taps or gets knocked out.

I enjoyed watching the fights to get into the house when they only showed hilights of the 2/3 rounders that didn't have much excitement and show the full fights that only lasted a couple minutes.

Go ahead and tell me I'm not a 'true' mma fan but who watches d league basketball?

I began watching ufc ppvs with the descrambler on the black/white tv in my basement. You probably don't know what that even means.

Rogan and Goldberg need to be there tonight. Cruz and Faber aren't announcers, they are fighters. With little to no background noise the average mma fan needs some excitement. White is great at responding but he isn't good at commentating.

Sick KO and the crickets chirp.
