yeah, and saw this on sherdog... I know I will get flamed ridiculously for being a Diaz Fan, but anyone else find it uncool that this fight is in New Jersey, and Nate is facing Jersey Favorite Jim Miller, and Dave Tirelli is a former Pro Fighter from New Jersey, the last 3 of his 5 Pro fights were in New Jersey. I mean its not like Diaz is lucky going to decisions as it is, without a hometown judge.

I put a unit on Hendricks straight up at +110. I also like Lavar to upset Barry and Diaz to upset Miller, but I want better odds than +160...

I am all over rousimar on this card. Just no way he can lose this fight. He's ahead of belcher in each area and can't be knocked out.

Dude got dropped by Dan Miller. I agree that hes ahead of Belcher in most areas but thinking he can't be knocked out by a guy like that is dangerous.

Palhares has been stunned a couple times. Belcher is much tougher competition than any of Palhares's recent wins Massenzio, Miller, Branch, Drwal, Linhares.

It will be an interesting fight, no play here for me

Palhares got stunned by Miller right after he thought he already won. He was a bit confussed I guess.

But after that complete domination. He just throws guys around in the cage as he pleases

LOL. Not sure if serious or if you analyze fights based on wikipedia.

The guy has the intelligence of a squirrel but no one can say that Marquardt KOed him with a straight face.

I'll never bet large on Paul Harris for that exact reason but it's not his talent level that will be his undoing against a solid if unspectacular MW in Belcher. He's the Manny Ramirez of MMA.

yep...the biggest risk playing him is his potential to fu*k himself!

i agree 100 percent. Belcher is a tough guy who improves each fight. Palhares also improves. One thing about Belcher is that he has a world class beard. No play for me either. Palhares should take it but ya just can't trust the guy.

yeah so how the hell do u take a guy like this? I went to that well to many times and consider myself lucky. I can't do it anymore. I just re watched the link a guy supplied (with Miller) and again Palhares was grabbing the fence and the ref came very close to taking a point away. I guess i forgot about this because of him jumping on top of the fence. It is almost like he doesn't understand the ref or he doesn't know grabbing the fence is illegal. Boy the Jeremy Horn fight he did it so much my stomach was getting upset cause i risked 3 to 1. He grabs the fence when he doesn't even have to.

But just the way he throws ppl around and submits them is enough for me to bet on him. I don't see a reasonable way for belcher to win this. But that's just me.

I agree and good points... hard to like diaz under these circumstances, especially as I don't see him finishing jimbo... Very interesting and borderline 'fishy' circumstances, tough deal for nate imo... Big dog almeida seems like a pretty str8 up and honest guy though... but then again personal bias can blur anyone's vision.

I agree that its prob a no play for me too.

However, the big difference is that Massenzio, MIller and Branch all have much better tdd than belcher, and they are grapplers by base - I don't think the same can be said about belcher. If toquino can out grappler these guys, I don't see belcher doing any better on the ground (although I do think belcher's ground game is a little underrated, but his tdd is nothing special at all, it pretty rough imo...) If palhares spends too much time on the feet though I obviously give belcher more of a chance to win than any of toquino's past opponents. I wanna play him, but after putting 1375 on him against dan miller at -350 and almost shitting my pants on a few different occasions - I will prob sit this one out too! If the line continues to drop though and he amazingly gets below -300, I just might have to throw a line down!!

Iirc, Palhares ate some shots from Hendo. I wouldn't worry about his chin... I'd be more concerned with the anatomical organ 10 inches above it.

    I'm a HUGE Palhares fan.

But I don't get it. I think he wins, but at -300? When he was -350 that was even more ridiculous. Belcher is a real solid fighter that will have much better striking than Palhares. At those odds, Belcher is the only play. But I think it is a no-play for me.

Fan of both guys...and they both have ways to win the fight. Belcher has huge ass legs and a blackbelt and has been working with Dean Lister. He will be as ready as he can for those leglocks.

I will be rooting Palhares, but I think -300 is crazy.
