#74Fitguy it's only a matter of time before all the regs posting on the other forum get banned and come back here under different accounts.. V is already pushing the limits with his posts.. The mods over there seem to not wanna tolerate much tomfoolery and basically only want to discuss MMA betting first.. I actually like and appreciate that but I'm loyal to this forum..Comment -

#75too bad for what nunya, md and all the white-label md's have done...so damn sure that the new frontier they were headed for would be a utopian world of non-stop uber-hip profiteering... but they were so arrogant and rude on their way out...pissing in as many swimming pools as possible as they gloated and goaded... good to see the chickens have come home to roost at "weallpretendtolikethesamemovies.com " but they ain't gonna be welcomed back here with open arms by all the peeps who've tolerated their gang-slagging antics in the past... they'll wish they hadn't been such pretentiously-rude fukks on the way out...cuz many of us have gotten used to standing up for ourselves now...and have come to appreciate NOT having MD's twatty auto-squelch ruining every discussion with pedantic distinctions...to the sneering support of his clones ...too bad the "brave new circle-jerk" isn't panning out...cuz there'll be anything but open arms awaiting when boredom and bickering "over there" drive the ascended ones back "here"...full of people they've always PRETENDED to be better than

#79Did Bigfoot really look any worse against Arlovski than he did against Cain or Cormier? He's always had issues with fast agile strikers that have power. Mir on the other hand, has looked worse and worse the past few years. This better athlete nonsense is just that, he's going to get laid on and crushed by Bigfoot. G&P TKO just like Carwin and Lesnar. Bigfoot ML is honestly a bargain still.Comment -

Come back over there. penetrate the Zewkey guys, just put em on ignore. It's like a party where there's a bunch of douchebags you don't like on the other side of the room. You can spend the whole time being pissed that they're there, or you can just hang out with your friends and have a good time.
I deleted my own posts and they kept getting restored for no reason with my editing rights taken away.
I actaully dont care about the zewkey guys. I never talked to them. My main issue the double standards. If my imdb list was inappropriate certainly other stuff posted about me crossed that line as well. So active moderation on me then active cheerleading for the inappropriate stuff posted about me.Comment -

#95normally i'd say Mir, T/KO ticket is a donation...but not necessarily against this low-testosterone giant...
full-testosterone Bigfoot vs. Hunt had a chin of granite...depleted-testosterone, grey-haired version that fought Arlovski a few months later had chin of crystal
imadegen is right...of the two shot specimens in the cage on Sunday, Mir will be the better athelete, with the better agility...hopefully can use it to avoid getting clocked by the plodding giant and connect on something himself...
what an uninspiring shit fight...only thing worse i could imagine would be a Dan Kelly v. Patrick Walsh rematch scheduled as a 5-rounderComment -

#100The state of MMA betting discussion is downright pathetic. I don't contribute here too much as I have found SBR mods to unreasonable and deluded with 'power' and their points/rewards system has little to offer me. I have also been disappointed by the nature of much of the discussion that does take place. In terms of pure betting analysis I have found the best website to be Sherdog and their event betting topics but much of the posters have little gambling knowledge which is just as, if not more important than the specific knowledge of the sport,
I've been betting MMA for a while, not to the success that I have with other sports, but enough to keep it going. Recently I have been putting in way more time watching tape, researching fighters, examining angles and scouring the web for other Gambler's analysis. I think MMA is one of the most variable and exploitable markets we have as gamblers. With fewer betters and less data going into the hands of the price setters, combined with the fact that the qualitative mostly overpowers the quantitative in regards to predictive capacity, I believe the advantage may lay in the hands of a well organized and informed betting community. This is not true in any of the other major sports, where numbers and 'analytics' prevail as daily match-ups can be modeled off of thousands of similar scenarios. In addition, these sports only require an afternoon of effort and result in measly tick in the W/L column, while MMA demands 3 months of planning and effort (which can be observed) and can bare career defining repercussions to victor or the vanquished.
I am wondering why the hell there is all this squabbling between posters, forums etc. and no actual analysis going on! After all the innuendo on here, I finally find out what this 'other forum' is today.. I didn't put too much thought into it before as the posters that had been harping about it rarely contributed more than 1 sentence condescension over here. Anyways, I browsed the site today and first off the registration page didn't work for me, but as it turns out that was probably for the best as there was maybe 3 total sentences related to actually capping UFN 61 on the entire site. Good job guys.
There is so much information that can be discussed/exchanged in regard to MMA betting that isn't readily available on any mainstream websites:
-Fighters styles and strengths
-Camps and coaches. There specialties and any changes.
-Trends from previous fights
-Glaring flaws or unappreciated qualities
-Competition levels outside of the UFC
the list goes on and on and as simple as these things seem bringing them into discussion can lead to valuable insights on a fight.
So much of this information on a fighter is hard to gather from their records (and sometimes tape) alone and spending your time really watching and studying the tape and learning about the commitment of every fighter is impossible. Many times your area of 'expertise' or understanding of a certain Organization, style of fighting, weight class etc. may be inferior to someone elses.. so why not hope to get a detailed breakdown of a certain fight from them. All of this is especially true in the lower profile fights. There is a wide range of lower tier orgs where these fighters cut their teeth. For ex. Dwyer is a 6'4 welterweight who came into the UFC with a very good record against some experienced fighters.. He fought out of Kelowna - who knows he could be the next Rory McDonald.. WRONG! The guy is KO fodder with zero idea what hes doing in the Octagon. He appears to come in with 0 gameplan and is even worse at thinking on his feet. His strengths are his athleticism, cardio and size which helped him through in many of the fights which built the record that got him his shot. But anyone that followed his early career would have known about his clear flaws in a heartbeat.. I had no idea in his fight with Tumenov and left it largely alone, outside of adding Tumenov on a few small parlays because of some undocumented picks by posters that I had seen have success in the past. I watched that fight though and immediately knew I should have emptied the vaults. Luckily (i hope) I jumped on Macario early enough this time around to get him at 1.4(now 1.28). Not many of the sites I use are letting me bet him by KO, but I would love to have that as well.
Anyways, the point is simple. We can make money doing this and forums like this can make the difference. It just takes a certain level of commitment and seriousness to the discussion to make it happen. It may be too late for this card.. but I am going to come back for the next couple and see if we can't work together in an honest way to find the best possible fights on a card.. early enough to beat the line movements. God BlessComment -

They whine about forum deficiencies, lack of fighter discussions, breakdowns, matchups, etc.. All the while these same complaining posters never actually contribute a single MMA discussion gambling post much like oddtodd just did..
I just read a short story post of complaints but not one sentence in that entire post from OddTodd was about the fights or any kind of fighter breakdown, betting value, etc.. on this upcoming event...
A waste of a read as far as I'm concerned... That's what I think OddTodd...

For example - I will bet $100 or more on the sure bets and maybe $50 or less on the unsure straight plays for the entire card including parlays and props... I try and play the betting field evenly most of the time to protect bank roll.. If I see a real no brainer play I might bet as much as $500 or more but those bets don't happen very often...
Starting to play the live betting also during the live events...Last edited by JIBBBY; 02-21-15, 01:19 PM.Comment
