    Better to take OSP at +400, and buy back on Mousasi at -275? Or just take Mousasi at post?

    If you know the line is wider than expected, and can anticipate the line move - is it better to take the free money, or wait and swing for the home run?

    One is math and one is gambling. Not saying either is wrong - to each his own.

    But please don't condescend to people on here just when they have a difference of opinion. And also realize that these oddsmakers are putting lines out on 15-20 fights a weekend. Not an easy job on either side of the counter these days.

    Very easy to pick spots and guess line moves. Much harder to make money off these spots consistently, week after week.

    Better to respect other players, and respect the books.

    I don't know who valdosta is, and for that matter, I don't know much about who sideloaded is. But what is this conversation about?

    From sideloaded's prediction videos, he seems to be a kid. I'm not against a kid being on a board, but why and how is he posting on a gambling board? Why and how would a kid gamble? And why go from thread to thread insulting people. It's a mystery, perhaps I'm missing something.

    This is the first truly interesting conversation I've ever seen here.

    Sideloaded is right about almost everything.

    Beating the closing line isn't a concept that matters as much in one-off events. Not in the way it does it math-heavier sports like MLB/NFL.

    I agree Nunya not as important but still a good indicator of success going forward and to truly tell if you have an edge. Also large arbs exist beating the closing line on these money lines. Of course mma limits so not a lot of money will be made.

    I can't speak for Nick but Odessa doesn't look at this place at all. This thread is a bit of an exception because I sent him the link. I don't think he's registered here though. The guy has never hid under fake names so I am not sure why some of you think we are the same person.

    I didn’t get the context before, but now that you’ve explained it this way I see these two bastards are sportsbook-sympathisers.

    I was out of line with the remark, ‘from thread to thread insulting people’, sorry about that. But I thought there was some backstory between you and Mr valdosta I didn’t know about.

    Even when I have free time I usually miss the opening lines, I’m always sleeping or doing something. Bookmaker has pretty small limits and I had much smaller stakes until recently, so the cash out fee + currency exchange fee eats into the profits. So unless the opening line is ridiculous and I actually do catch it, there’s often little difference if I just wait to bet on Pinnacle.

    Also, I try to avoid using the British or Gibraltar sportsbooks whenever possible because they ban or limit you for nothing. I don’t have access to the good version of Bodog’s websites, or to a lot of British bookmakers from my region, and I’ve been banned by a couple. But I like having accounts with a few of them because they’re often the only ones who cover certain boxing matches.

    I don’t know how Bodog compares to the less ban-happy British sportsbooks like William Hill, but Dominator on Punters Lounge says ‘Bodog is for losers only, and will limit anyone with a clue.’ I don’t know how true that is but they all tend to ban you.

    I get what you were arguing about now, but for me a few gift lines from a British bookmaker isn’t anything to get excited about.
