    UFC 140 by gabe

    Jones
    Mir
Lil' Nog (following Calculator. was originally gonna bet Ortiz.)
    Soszynski
    Lentz
    Watson
    Hamman
    Makdessi
    Hecht

Didn't mention Ebersole, but I'm taking him, too. His walk looked a little weird at the weigh-ins, hope he's not hurt. Smart money would probably be against him after seeing that, but I'm riding Ebersole all the way in this one!!!!

lol @ the screencap of me-- looks like i'm taking a dump.

    BETS YOU SHOULD MAKE:

Jones & Machida Goes to Round 2

    Makdessi via KO

Attonito vs Hecht Goes the Distance

Patrick vs Ebersole Goes the Distance

Yeah was very close, 30-27 was a joke.
Good call with Hecht tho, apart from fight going distance!

I thought Watson lost the second round, pretty close though. Don't see how either "clearly" won the round though.

landed more strikes, and almost finished it with a guillotine. he didn't dominate the round, but i thought it was good enough for a 10-9.

I went 5 for 5 on the main card, including a last minute bet I put on The Korean Zombie on my iphone while on my way to the bar... I saw the line had jumped to like +425 and I made a small play on it.

Thanks for Calculator for coming through with the Lil Nog play-- I was down big and it helped me climb out of my hole.

That was a great change from Tito to Nog. I had a decent lean on betting Tito originally, but too much information going into the fight made me change my play to putting a little on Nog. The guy didn't look himself, he said he didn't have a great camp and he was talking about retirement. Too many things indicating he was going to lose this fight.

6-6 with my bets (including KZ and Mitch Clarke or whatever his name is)
    3-2 with big bets
    2-3 with plays
    1-0 with monster lock (bones)
    2-2 with big plays
    1-1 with biggest plays
    3-3 with leans

Not a bad night. Was down big leading into the main card, then won all my losses back on those 5 fights, plus nearly everything I'd lost on NCAA during the week.

It really was great to change from Tito to Nog. Props to Calc for that one. Big Day, too.

This looks like a really useful way to keep records. My record is 1172-860, gotta figure out how to divide that into about 400 categories now. Big bets, big bigger bets, big biggest bets, big ball baller bets. . .

Mitch Clarke got out grappled by Cholish
    Hecht KOed Attonito

My super-uber 140 play of Lil Nog won too but my primordial play on Watson was robbed

Yeah, had no idea who Cholish or Clarke were, so I just made a very very small play on the +350 dog.

Yeah, I lost big on Watson and Jared Hamman.

Hecht was a nice lean + small play I made. I had confidence he would win, I should have given him out as a big play.

I'm not keeping a record of my bets, I was just writing how my bets did in the thread. I only keep a record of my plays. (2-3 for 140: jones, watson, hamman, soscynski, mir)

and yeah, I make different sized bets. shocking?

Beelze - a "big bet" is a bet I personally put a lot of my money on. a "big play" is what i also tell everybody else to lay a lot of money on. sometimes i make big bets on fights i don't consider big plays, 'cos i'm down and chasing, or whatever the reason. my big bets SHOULD always be my big plays, but sometimes i go big on a risk, and I've paid for it before. Biggest mistake I've ever made was go all-in on Ben Rothwell against Mark Hunt. Was down and started chasing. That would be an example of a big bet I made that wasn't a big play, nor a play at all, for that matter.

    My bad, he wasn't +350

Yeah, I tried to get a fast one past you all by letting you think Clarke was +350 and not +260. Pretty bummed that no one fell for it.

I'm past it, from a betting stand-point, but as a fight fan, I think Walel should have had that win to escalate up the Bantamweight ladder. He goes to the back of the line due to a poor decision.
