#284i remember watching ufc access / previews for the Adriano Martins fight, thinking damn this is a tough challenge. what he did with that headkick in the 1st was pretty much incredible. same with Bardoza who is a killer. that jab. Jim Miller who is tough as nails and a gamer, shooting for takedowns because hes getting destroyed standing.
My point is ill take a guy like Cerrone who has looked spectacular in recent fights against top competition. against a guy who has got a split dec against chandler and has been Knocking out no names and ufc rejects. esp in a fight which is a "coin toss" like this.
If im wrong so be it.Comment -

True. And if Romero wasn't able to manhandle Tavares, there's no way I would pick him agains Kennedy. But he did, and in a fashion that indicates that he is still making big improvements in this area. The big knock on Romero- like many decorated wrestlers- is that his wrestling hasn't translated well into MMA. Yet.Comment -

#289MD bro I have a question for you. There's a triple decker house. White family black family and Puerto Rican family. A tornado rips thru house and destroys everything. What family survives?Comment -

#290Cerronay knee as md has already said or headkick knockdown is very possible considering height differential and Alvarez's someone questionable defense at timesComment -

#298Eddie has to be hungrier than Donald too - dude is driving a Kia while Donald is out groping everyone else's chick and wakeboarding while refusing to watch tape or come up with a gameplan - Donald is hittable and Eddie is much better at avoiding strikes with his dive outs to the side to cut angles after he throws - Donald also has shown that sometimes he just doesn't show up in certain spots - looked downright scared when facing Nate - never seen that weakness in the mentality of Eddie - getting caught with a knee or a front kick on the way in should be a real concern of Eddie's but if he actually studies his opponent he should be prepared for that. All in all I'd say it's a damn close fight - I leaned Eddie as my pick but played Donald at plus odds back when and have locked in various distance type prop plays. Think if Eddie can't work his strikes he can get it to the ground and his better wrestling will be somewhat stymied by Donald's better jits and the fight could go long.Comment -

#301I just don't see Romero as the type of guy that can be ground out. Kennedy's smothering game may work against somebody like bisping, but i just see Romero as too sturdy and physical for that to work on him. Also, Brunson enjoyed some leverage advantages that Tim may not have here. I think Kennedy will look futile in a tko loss.Comment -

Romero isn't as well rounded or fluent in the octagon as Kennedy though.. Romero is probably more explosive with his punching and wrestling.. However, experience and game planning I think is gonna be in the favor of Kennedy going in..
This will be Romero's toughest fight to date I believe.. http://www.sherdog.com/fighter/Yoel-Romero-60762
I'm looking forward to seeing this fight!!!. I'm on the over 2 1/2 rounds bet myself at -150 as my primary bet.. Will be betting small on Kennedy also at +125..
THIS IS A STACKED CARD!!!... One of the better one's of late..Last edited by JIBBBY; 09-25-14, 01:47 PM.Comment -
