lol im always looking for reasons to bet against noons. i cant stand him. but evangelista didnt look impressive his last 3 fights. the masvidal loss is understandable, but he didnt look good against gurgel and waachim spiritwolf.

this will probably be a no play for me, but if anything i'd put my money on noons.

im tempted to make a small play on yamanaka. you have to imagine cyborg will have ring rust. i can see a similar situation to manhoef vs mizuno. manhoef opened as a huge favorite, was probably overlooking mizuno, got caught in a sub.

but i think the line will improve as people will probably be throwing cyborg in their parlays.

Do you mean OSP inside the distance at +600? He's at +320 by DEC on bovada. I'd rather take him at +300 straight up and I am.

You can't compare this to mizuno/manhoef.

manhoef was super overrated, and mizuno super underrated. mizuno finished prangley ffs.

still, anything's possible though, and people who lay down on -1000 favourites deserve to lose their cash.

Cyborg finishes this within 2. Play fight ends before the 3rd at -140 instead.

you are probably correct. i dont know much about cyborg's opponent so i cant really say this is the same as manhoef/mizuno. but you have to admit, stylistically, cyborg is the same as manhoef, and culturally, yamanaka is the same as mizuno. so the similarities are there. or, maybe im just a racist.

I don't think Wilcox can hang with Fodor on the feet. Fodor has a good reach advantage, although he doesn't use it anyway, he likes clinchwork. Wilcox could probably LNP him, but in the past he's mostly used his wrestling to keep the find standing up. Wish I would've waited on my bets, but I didn't expect the line to improve.

    Hard fights to call, gents.

I'd play gil but not at that price, no way. Yet I don't wanna take masvidal in 5 rounds against a cardio machine like gil. I think masividal will have early success but then lose as he fades a bit and gil keeps up the pace. Decision though, imo.

Def liking OSP as a nice dog, if jardine gets gegard down so does a much more athletic, bigger and explosive OSP imo. I also think OSp has more raw power in his hands and while he'd lose in most exhanges with gegard, I think he could land the more damaging blow if lucky.

Wanted to hit wilcox but not at those lines, I think the value is on fodor now. If justin gets down back to around -200 I might take it. I think his offensive wrestling is underrated and yes he doesn't really use it, but mostly because he has had sucess with his hands. We didn't see much against JZ, but he did hang if not win the fight up until that unfortunate stoppage. If he comes in smart and sticks to a ground minded gameplan he could impose his will and use that gorrilla frame to lay n pray...maybe

Interested in cole at that line, especially if he drops. Guy is a tough fight for anyone and is well rounded.

Noons should win and win rather decisively imo, but I feel he is being overvalued at those odds and its risky for that price. I think noons is a horrible style for billy, but not confident enough in my breakdown to pay that price as of yet.

Bowling is way overpriced as well, don't know much about peoples but I know bowling isn't worth -370 or higher against anyone at this point in his career.

As usual, my book is fuckking lagging and has no lines up outside of gil/jorge so I have no plays as of yet. OSP, wilcox, and possibly noons are what I'm looking at though. Hopefully some lines will be up by tomorrow after noon (my 140 lines outside of the 3 main fights didn't get up until Saturday morning!!!! I barely got my plays in!!!) GL, keep up the discussions and insight fellas!

he looked fine at weigh-in, If Fodor can get him down may be he can grind out a decision otherwise Fodor's straight foward style is tailor made for Wilicox to tee off on him.

This is my only play thus far.

100458810-112/16/11 10:24pm$30.00$176.37Pending3 Team ParlayPending12/17/11 11:30pm Strikeforce Fighting 2002 Gilbert Melendez -320* vs Jorge Masdival Pending12/17/11 10:30pm Strikeforce Fighting 2005 Ovince St. Preux +230* vs Gegard Mousasi Pending12/17/11 9:00pm Strikeforce Fighting 2010 Justin Wilcox -170* vs Caros Fodor

Got this 'hedged' (I think that is the apropriate usage of 'hedged' lol) with mousasi in place of OSP to win back 30, risk 16. Probably be my only parlay as I never have consistent successs with them.

My book site that I make my str8 plays with still only has the main event up, I'm pissed.... I hope the entire card gets up soon so I am not stuck with shitty last minute odds on the under card like ufc 140...!

Been doing lots of research and breakdowns for fodor/wilcox. WHile it should be close, I'm really liking wilcox, he has the tools to dictate how this fight goes down, and I was overlooking how impressive his striking has developed. You can see the growth in his technique in his last few fights, very solid hands, footwork and head movement. I wouldn't be surprised if he out strikes fodor, and if he doesn't fare well on the feet, well he has his solid wrestling to fall back on. COnsidering terry and douglas got fodor down with tds (while they really didn't keep him there), Justin is on a whole different level of wrestling. Furthermore, carlos seems to frustrate people in the clinch, something I don't see working well when you consider justin's style and strenghts. I'm not gonna go heavy on this as I still think its a very close fight and I could be very wrong, but I'm def taking wilcox. Just hope he opens decently on my site - if he even gets on there in time!!!!

I like how they're letting Jerron Peoples fight at 180.5 for WW. That's a little excessive in my opinion.

I agree...I put $300 (+300) on Masvidal and then after the fact put $100 (+600) for a stoppage. Every time they talk to Jorge he's eating french fries or at a Taco Bell which isn't going to help if the 4th-5th round rolls around. I'm now thinking +600 for a stoppage or he loses but I'm spent.

I have a small play on Wilcox. Liked him to -200 so I took the -170 for a 1.5 Unit wager.

    GL guys.
