Does anyone know anything more about this specifically in regards to MMA? If this is permanent it will be a big blow to US MMA handicappers. Do any other US books offer prop bets?

i almost posted a few days ago asking if anyone else noticed it but after 139 they were gone. Hopefully, they bring them back when the event approaches but i doubt it. Ill miss those easy parlays.

Its hard to believe that they were getting beat by enough people to justify this. Also, the removal of props also significantly levels the playing field when it comes time for MMA handicappers to choose which books to fund.

It seems like every bookie has removed props betting on MMA. I never bet on MMA so I dont know if they had prop betting before but no bookie has it anymore.

I hope they dont do the same with boxing

I hope this is a temporary thing. If not this sucks big time. 5dimes without props to me becomes just an average book. Pinnacle usually has better lines, Bookmaker has more openers and both Bookmaker and Bodog have props. Right now 5dimes gets most of my betting action, but if this is a long term move I will probably be moving money around.

Also to me it doesn't really make sense. You would think they would just adjust lines to make them more favorable for the books. Open the most likely outcomes at bad odds until the other side of those outcomes gets enough action. I think there are several people on this forum who could figure out how to open some prop lines so that the book would be profitable. To me it doesn't seem very difficult to adjust.

5dimes hasn't been opening a lot of lines lately. The only MMA line I've seen them open in the last few months (that I can remember) was the Cerrone-Diaz line.

main card ufc fights do have live betting.

ill rest assured when i see the props back up, no way in hell i trust what customer service says. I wish i would have recorded what the lines were at so if they bring them back can see what the deal is here, they must have taken them down for some reason.

maybe they weren't getting enough action on them for how much time it took them to create the lines. If it isn't profitable for a business to spend all that time creating lines I don't blame them for taking them down. A lot of that stuff was worthless for the most part, but fighters like GSP ending in a decision probably hurt them more than it helped.

I don't believe any MMA props have been taken down such as the upcoming Bisping-Mayhem and Jones-Machida props; they're just yet to be released.

However I've noticed that they've really scaled-back their props for some of the less popular recent cards like UFC 138 which had even fewer props than the recent fight nights, neglecting to post FOTN/KOTN/SOTN and even the televised main card except Leben-Munoz.

I'd move my business elsewhere if 5Dimes stops doing props because there are better books for early lines, reduced juice, etc., namely pinnacle.
