He's never finished a fighter in the third round and about 90% of his finishes were in the first. His best bet is to swarm Rumble early before he settles

Belfort is a huge play for me. Will be my biggest play to date if the lines on Bookmaker resemble those that are out

Ill go into detail about my perception of this matchup once Bookmaker lines are out but I really, really like Belfort to get the finish. I think that AJ will stand with him and get put to sleep early but even if Rumble wants to wrestle, I believe that Belfort is a much more explosive and strong athlete than the guys that Johnson has been able to outgrapple and that it would be a very different challenge for him. I really don't like Rumble moving up in weight and I also consider Vitor to be one of the most dangerous fighters in the UFC as far as finishing ability.

Fight NOT going distance is the safest bet here.

Is there a book that'll give me action for Rumble via Anaconda choke in Rd. 2?

    86.4% chance that hits.

Most probably. I've been to most the UK ones, and couple of buddies I took to 138 who aren't that in to it enjoyed the event so much that they said they'd be up for going to the Sweden one supposedly happenin in March or sumin.

Anderson's foot hitting Belfort's face put him out... Imagine the tree trunks that hit Charlie Brenneman in the head all over Vitor's face...

If Rumble stands, he gets knocked out. Charlie Brenneman ate that kick and he is a nonstriking 170 lb wrestler. I'm not saying it wasn't a good stoppage but that kicks was in no way comparable to an Anderson Silva teep to the chin.

    I disagree.

I'll say Rumble takes the safe route and grinds out the victory with his wrestling.

Rumble when he was at 170, cuts around 40 pounds just to make 170, and it drains him. Him moving to 185 is a great move. He cuts less weight to make 185 and will only be more explosive at 185 than at 170.

It's fun as hell watching Vitor crush cans, but he hasn't fought anyone credible since 2008.

    Matt Lindland?
    Rich Franklin? Fading fighter
Anderson? Yeah look how the fight turned out for him
    Akiyama? Overrated

bah! i'll throw palhares into a few parlays and maybe a sub prop depending on the line. but straight up at -475 is not worth it. the guy is too unstable to lay that much juice on him.

Rousimar fell from -350 to -540 and Erick Silva fell from -420 to -475

This is no fun for betting. I was gonna POUND POUND POUND Palhares if he was around -250/-300 but now am actually considering a small play on Mikey Mike Massenzio.

thought it would be closer with Etim's 'dominant win' over Faalattooo

guessing that Etim is a big dog based on his loss to another Brazilian dos Anjos, think most consider Barboza better

cant really place Etim anywhere. His one win in two years is against Faa in a 19 second sub.
I would take Etim as Barbazo has not KOed a UFC LW and has gone to questionable close decision in his last 2 fights.

Any opinions on Stout vs Tavares? Weird fight. In some ways, Tavares should have this in the bag. In others, Stout could win easily. Tavares is a way more complete fighter and has the style to win easily with his BJJ. But he's a pussy that got KO'd by Shane ******* Roller, so Hands of Decision maybe gets another bullshit KO and acts like his nickname "Hands of Stone" is legit.

Tavares is chinny, he has been rocked in most of his fights and has not beaten a decent name in some time.
Stout has shown great sub defense (see Lauzon Rd 1)
Regarding his lack of KOs, he has fought some guys with great chins (Taylor, Lauzon, Stephens, and Wiman)

I think after round 1 of trying to take Stout down, Tavares will gas. However, Tavares boxing looked sharp against Roller (for what thats worth)

I fear the PPV buys on this card. The last Brazil card had Anderson Silva, Big Nog, and Shogun and it barely did 300k.... I'd be surprised if this event did 200k. I think we will see the lowest ppv buys in a long time!

If you buy on your own, this is def a skip event, especially with the free events coming up.

UFC 143 is not star studded but has Nick Diaz vs Condit and then 144 is a little bit better but no card in recent memory has been 'stacked' besides 140 or 136
