Amir "King" Khan vs Zab "Super" Judah

whats up fellas i wrote some articles about this fight and broke it down but dont bet just yet as there might be some prop bets that will be more profitable.
Khan's chick is hot and roach band her last fight from the gym vs McCloskey to keep Amir's head in the game. I also found out that during the fight versus Maidana, when Khan was winning the whole fight but got caught late with a few hooks to the temple that even though he should a lot of heart his trainer Freddie "puffs" Roach was very close to tossing the towel in from his corner to end the fight. Alex Ariza, Khans strength coach is back in camp and Khan has blown up like a tick sucking on a dogs blood on mid-afternoon august summer day. He has packed on the punds and wont last long at 140 lb and might jump up to 147 sooner then people think if Tim Bradley bitches out again it might happen to get that payday versus money Mayweather. The gym is in conflict even though it involves PAC-man firing longtime adviser Micheal Koncz who is a crazy bastard. he had beef with Alex and freddie before so it's got to be in their minds somehow. Khans girlfriend is a booze bag or so says her ex husband who claimed it was the reason he left her.??? she nust be a very messsy drunk cause i would keep this piece of fine tail around dead drunk or not. the only thing this hot vixen could do get the boot from me is leave the car seat on the roof with the kid in it. to khan now i no why freddie booted her from the gym last fight
Khans chick Katie price ther nust have been to many exposed piping or poles around the gym for Freddie to concentrate
    good for you champ

Amir Khan's trainer Freddie Roach: I nearly threw in towel in the 10th

Freddie Roach has revealed he almost chucked in the towel before Amir Khan won his war with Marcos Maidana.
Roach says he considered pulling Khan out at the end of the 10th because he was in so much trouble.
The American kept his nerve and Khan recovered to beat Maidana with a unanimous points decision to retain his WBA light-welterweight crown.
"I did have thoughts of that, yes," said Khan's trainer. "I talked to Amir between the 10th and the 11th. He responded well. His head was clear. He came back in the 11th with some combinations. It was very close to being stopped in the 10th round, he took a lot of shots.
But I was very happy we had a good referee in there, who didn't get excited and let the fight go as it did.
"Amir showed he had some f*****g balls. A lot of people said he would get hit on the chin and quit. He showed he had no quit in him. He has shown he can become one of Britain's greatest fighters and is already set to be the best of his era."
Khan's reward will be a UK fight in April. Zab Judah, Breidis Prescott, Victor Ortiz and Joan Guzman have been suggested.

Amir Khan's trainers are reportedly determined to put a stop to Katie Price's visits to his boxing gym.

Khan's fearsome trainer Freddie Roach has vowed to stop her from becoming a distraction before his Manchester fight against Paul McClosky in April.

"She won't be allowed to visit the gym and Amir is going to be staying with his dad Shah and Freddie himself," the Daily Star quoted a source as saying.

But Khan has still put Price at the top of his guest list for a party after his next fight.

haha Firstly, that's the Daily Star reporting that, trusting the Daily Star is like trusting Casey Anthony with your kids. And that was ages ago, she was there for like a week and had a couple nights partying with him, she was actually dating MMA fighter Alex Reid at the time!

set at 9.5 rounds i like the over but some places have it at 7.5 rounds at -170 and that's a better bet since history shows Zab fades right about then if Khan gets the late KO i think it happens after the 7th round. I think pernell whitaker's defense will shine thru and Zab being off the shit or what ever he use to do and late nights at the club, plus training more then one week before a fight might give him a little more gas in his tank for the 2nd half of the fight. I like the fight to go the distance with Khan fighting tall and taking the decision be cause he is a better payday for boxing and everyone involved and Judah lost to Mayweather already. Khans the future if it goes to the cards it's his in my opinion boxing is corrupt think what makes people money. perfect example paul williams vs the Erislandy Lara a cuban kid who beat his ass so bad the announcers wanted the fight to be stopped but because a Sergio Martinez vs Paul Williams part 3 makes more money then martinez vs some cuban kid Erislandy Lara who is a great fighter but doesn't have the drawing power the decision went to williams. people will pay to see Khan vs Mayweather !! will they pay to see judah vs Mayweather part 2?????????????? That's why if it goes to the cards it goes to Khan. money makes it all go around and around boys. Judah has a punchers chance in the first 6 rounds and all the smack talk and his career on the line motivates him to take a beating and finish standing so he catches future paydays. he gets Ko'd he is done! stick a fork in him all done gate keeper for the rest of his career

i get it now Khan broke up with his real girl
Boxing - World Boxing Association (WBA) light welterweight champion Amir Khan (23-1) of England has been linked to Jennifer Thompson, a 21-year old and $1,900-a-night hooker recently involved with Manchester United captain Wayne Rooney. Rooney, 24, has been plagued by the prostitution scandal, with British media hounding the soccer star and his wife Coleen (the couple have a son).

"She used to live near Amir and loved hanging about with him and his mates. They all used to go to the J2 nightclub in Bolton. Amir was happy to get her in VIP booths and one night she performed a sex act on him," The Sun quoted an inside source close to Thompson.

    Images: Jennifer Thompson

Amir Khan is on the cusp of breaking into the top 10 pound-for-pound list in his sport, but it appears that Khan is already a top 10 ladies man in boxing.

"It was a fling. They didn't even have sex. No way did he have to pay. This was a few years ago when Jenny didn't work as a prostitute. Amir was single. It meant nothing," the source added. Jennifer Thompson was recently pictured with Amir Khan, 23, and actor Will Mellor on a night out.

Khan has also been the subject of innuendo in connection with British model and actress Katie Price, 32. Price is a married woman, and has apparently built up a reputation as a meandering philanderer (cougar alert). The two were seen, according to British media, on a flirty evening at the movie premiere of "The Expendables." (Cozy. I'll take a 'root beer float' with those 'popcorns'.)

Related > Amir Khan wanted to torture ex-girlfriend

Out of the millions of single ladies around the world, Amir Khan might want to stay out of this one, unless he has aspirations of getting his ass kicked inside the octagon, like when James Toney got KTFO by UFC legend Randy Couture. Katie Price is married to British mixed martial artist and actor Alex Reid, 35.

Boxing news he says nothing was going on all made up

It was nine years ago this month that I first encountered Amir Khan. He was competing in the English Schools Championships in Barnsley and an amateur boxing contact had marked my card about a "sensational" 15-year-old from Bolton. "The best kid of his age you'll ever see."

He was right. Young Amir, all flashing fists and scurrying feet, demolished his opponents in quick time, went on to become the Olympic lightweight silver medallist at 17 and, four years later, the WBA world light-welterweight champion.

It is some journey from Barnsley to Baguio City in the Philippines, where I tracked down Khan to chat about his upcoming title defence in Manchester against Ulster's unbeaten European champion Paul McCloskey on 16 April.

He is training there with the fabulous Filipino Manny Pacquiao, his new best friend and stablemate, in a state-of-the-art high altitude complex complete with running track and swimming pool. A far cry from his days as a schoolboy scrapper.

Over the years he has hit a few headlines as well as his opponents, though he is adamant that fame, the considerable fortune he has already amassed and the A-list company he keeps in Hollywood have not turned his head. "I'm still the same person I always was. I may look arrogant in the ring but I've always been humble. More so now because even though he is the greatest boxer in the world Manny is incredibly humble. He is an example to me, and I try to be an example to youngsters back home."

The point is well made because, at 24, Khan is not the first to discover that celebrity comes at a price. In his case Katie Price, aka Jordan, some tabloids suggesting – erroneously, he insists – that they may have indulged in a spot of horizontal sparring.

"I've learned to live with this sort of thing, it's not got to me one bit," he says. "There's absolutely nothing gone on between us. The media made it out that me and Katie were seeing each other and stuff but they've got the wrong end of the stick, we are just friends and we have only ever talked with each other. I think she is a really nice person, nothing like what people say about her in the press. Actually there are a lot of things that I am alleged to have done that I haven't." In fact there is no particular girl in his life at the moment. "I'm young and single, and married to boxing."

Having cleared that up, Khan is also happy to put the record straight about the split with his conditioning coach, Alex Ariza, following his gruelling title defence against Marcos Maidana, which Khan came close to losing in a dramatic 10th round.

The break-up, he says, had nothing to do with unfounded rumours of illegal pills and power potions being used in the Pacquiao camp – largely fuelled by Floyd Mayweather Jnr – of which he is now part. "It was nothing like that. We simply moved on. Alex was also working with Manny but now I have someone [nutritionist Michael Vale] who is working only with me. Alex and I still say hello to each other; after all, it's a professional game. But you have to do what you feel is best for yourself.

"The drugs rumours were upsetting but I can honestly say that I have never seen anything like that happening. People always say when someone is successful: 'Ah, but they take drugs, don't they?' Well, in my case it's simply not true, nor is it in Manny's.

"I've never been approached to take anything and it's something I will always stay away from, in or outside the ring. Drugs can ruin your career, people can be destroyed by drugs, and I am determined that is not going to happen to mine. I keep on training hard because it is boxing that's got me where I am and I'm not going to let that slip away."

However, Khan does admit to being annoyed at Ariza accusing his father of using Amir as a meal ticket "because he doesn't want to go back to driving cabs for a living". In fact Shah Khan is a successful businessman. "Some of the things he said about my father were very unfair, though they were said in the heat of the moment and I am sure he feels bad about it now. I didn't get that much involved, but my team thought it was best for a change.

"I'll be really strong in this fight," he adds. "I have been working on new things with Michael, tweaking things, making it a little bit tougher. I've also changed my diet and gone very organic, eating the right food at the right time, lots of fish and fresh vegetables. Now I understand what I'm eating and why I'm eating it. It's like having a petrol car, you don't put diesel in it."

Khan flies back from the Philippines today and trainer Freddie Roach will join him next week. "He'll be taking a break from preparing Manny for his next fight [against Shane Mosley] so it will be good to have him with me. I want to get this fight out of the way and then concentrate on a unification bout with Tim Bradley [the WBC champion] in the summer."

Kid Khan may be King Khan now but he happily acknowledges making a few mistakes along the way. "Most kids do when they're growing up. But I am a better, wiser person for it. I want to prove I am a true champion, someone to look up to. That has to be my legacy."

Boxing champ Amir Khan has dismissed reports that he has slept with Katie Price a.k.a Jordan.

Rumours of a romp circulated when the couple giggled and flirted their way through a pre-Oscars party.

However, the 24-year-old boxer went online to clear out the speculation.

"If anything comes out about me and Katie Price being in an Oscars party and spending a night together, it's not true. I was in bed alone at my own place for 11pm and was up @ 8am to train. Just to make it clear. I didn't no she was gona be there," The Sun quoted him as saying.

Jordan, divorcing cross-dressing Alex Reid, also went online yesterday to insist she and Khan were just pals. poor khan all of europe is up his ass about who hes banging, one paper says his friendship killed her marriage wow but i have no idea about what papers in england are rags or not?

This Saturday Night at Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino, WBA champ, Amir “King” Khan will take on, IBF champ, “Super” Zab Judah in a unification bout. With Khan heavy chalk the value for boxing betters might lie in the round total.

The “Bolton Star,” Amir Khan, comes into the fight as a heavy favorite (-400ml to -700ml) versus the old but savvy slick southpaw from Brooklyn, “Super” Judah (+325ml to +450ml). The fight is scheduled for 12 rounds of heart pounding excitement, both men possess the hand speed and power to put the other flat on their backs at any moment.
Game plans of the two fighters
Zab Judah has had a tendency in past title fights (the Mayweather fight in particular) to come out strong in the first half and then mentally and physically fade in the second half. Saturday night Zab will again be looking to come out hard and control the action in the first few rounds trying to get to Khan's questionable jaw.
Khan will want to hide behind his jab while using his height advantage to keep his distance from Judah in the first half of the fight and use his speed to elude and frustrate Zab, until he figures out the southpaw's style. “King” Khan will turn it on around the 5th or 6th round and look to dominate and tire out the older fighter, while scoring points from a distance with his jab and sharp combos.
The two questions for Zab and boxing bettors are, now that he has cleaned up his lifestyle outside the ring, will that be the cure to avoiding his mental melt downs? The other question that remains is has Judah had enough time with his new legendary trainer, Pernell Whitaker, to learn enough defensively to find that missing piece of his second half puzzle?
    The lines at betting shops
The over / under for the fight is sitting at 9.5 rounds, with the over at -120 and the under at -120 in the betting odds at the majority of the boxing betting shops. There are one or two betting shops that have the over / under at 7.5 rounds with the over being favored at -170 ml and the under sitting at +130.
    The Value that I see
Zab will come out early and impose his will, but not land the parting shot he wants on Khans chin. The younger champion, Khan, will have more trouble than he thinks in the first few rounds, as Zab and Pernell will dig deep into their plethora of tricks and confuse the young champ. The half way point is where Khan settles down and finds his rhythm, as the older Judah starts to slow from years of wear and tear. The 5th round through the 7th round is where Judah shows up and hangs tough or the “Bolton Star” Khan transforms into a supernova and starts imposing his natural gifts of hand speed on Judah. Judah has lasted to the end of title fights in the past versus better fighters without being knocked unconscious. The fight will go past 9.5 rounds and will either end with a late knock out or a decision win by either fighter .
    Other value bets
The fight going the distance has some value at +150. The other way to bet it is Khan winning by decision, which has a little more value at +187. If the late KO by Khan is what you’re feeling but you’re not sure what round, pay the extra juice for Khan by KO at -137 ml.

KHAN BY DEC +150 3X BIG TIME AND KHAN SMALL BY KO AND SMALLER JUDAH BY KO

Is Judah a stepping stone or a professor of the sweet science ready to teach a lesson to the untested but exceedingly gifted “King” Khan.

Golden Boy Productions has set the stage for their golden child, Amir “King” Khan, to gain notoriety off of Zab's renowned career in America. The chess match started November 6, 2010, with Golden Boy throwing a pawn in Judah's direction, who happily accepted the move. The posturing proved costly for Golden Boy as they ended up sacrificing their Argentinean slugger, Lucas Matthysse, as Judah prevailed by a split decision in Newark N.J.
After beating Matthysse, Judah got a shot at the vacant IBF title, as he took on South African fighter, Kaizer Mabuza, this past March. He bumped off Mabuza (TKO) in the 7th round, with a devastating left hook that left him catatonic but still standing like a zombie, so the referee stopped the fight. Winning the IBF title revitalized Judah's name among American boxing fans and made him relevant once again, plus it set the stage for Saturday night’s fight. The winner of Saturday's unification bout will inherit the two Jr. welterweight titles (IBF, WBA) and bring the victor one step closer to a huge payday. The new champion will then either clash with Tim Bradley to see who is King at 140 pounds or get the dream payday vs. Floyd “$$” Mayweather.
The chess game will end either way with Saturday night's fight card, as Golden Boy Productions aim to look like puppet masters and will hope to not find themselves in check mate to a “Super” slick southpaw from Brooklyn.
    Amir “King Khan” Khan (25 wins – 1 loss and 17 KO's)
The former Olympic silver medalist from Bolton, England, has only lost once in his career. That loss came back in 2008 to a dangerous (17KO's in 19 fights) Colombian Slugger, Breidis Prescott. Prescott caught Amir in the first 58 seconds of round one, with a couple of left hooks to the cranium, resulting in his legs turning to jelly and his porch light going dark (18-1).
After his first loss Khan fired then trainer, Jorge Rubio, and replaced him with legendary trainer, Freddie Roach. Roach then helped the young fighter capture the WBA title and win his next seven fights. The main augmentation that Freddie helped Amir with was his defense and making sure he sticks to his game plan. Khan has had a great training camp and the return of his strength and conditioning coach, Alex Ariza, has paid off as he has packed on major muscle to his frame. The camp has gone so well that Freddie has predicted a knock out for his fighter which is something he never does.
“Super” Zab Judah (41 wins – 6 losses, 28 knock outs)
Zab is a 5 time world champion in two divisions and is looking to capture his 6th title on Saturday night. He ran into some stiff competition in the welterweight division back in 2006 to 2008, he lost to Mayweather, Cotto and Clottey. Judah found himself at a cross roads in his career, so he dropped down to the Jr. welterweight division, where he has won 3 straight fights in the division and 5 straight fights overall. He added a new trainer, a defensive guru and 6 time champion himself, Pernell ”sweet pea” Whitaker, to his camp one fight ago. The move looked to have paid off, as in their short time together he has helped Zab win the vacant IBF title. Zab has lost a little bit of his dazzling hand speed, but he was the fastest draw in all of boxing, so slight loss in speed still makes faster than most. The fight, Saturday, will be the first time in a long time for Judah that he doesn't have the fastest hands, as Khan now has the most electric hands in boxing. Making his time with Pernell all the more important, as a good defense can bridge the gap of his diminished skill.
    Freddie and Amir's game plan
Khan has lightning fast hand speed and it has been reported that he can land 5 punches in one second. He poses a great jab that can dominate a fight; the way Lenox Lewis used his jab to dominate the heavyweight division back in the day. The height advantage he has over Zab is a steep two and a half inches, that mixed with a great jab makes him a hard guy to get at for a smaller fighter. The young warrior has great lateral foot work, which helps him stick and move like a Houdini himself, often frustrating his opponents. Khan’s lethal straight combos bombard his opponents from a distance.
Add all the components up and Khan will want to fight tall from the outside, where his height comes into play, it is there that he will use his lighting quick hand speed to land his jab and combos. He has to outbox Judah from a distance, if he gets lured in to a telephone booth brawl with the shorter fighter his height will exposes his chin. He needs to stay away from that kind of fight because Judah has the arsenal of powerful hooks and uppercuts that will spell disaster for the young star.
    Weaknesses
Freddie has been working on his defense and breaking the bad habits Khan has developed over the years, such as retreating from an opponent and going straight back with his hands down after an exchange (instead of at an angle and with his hands up) which exposes his jaw. He also is not a great inside fighter as we saw in the Marcos Maidana Fight, who lit Khan up late with uppercuts and looping hooks. Khan's suspect chin has many people thinking he will be exposed in this fight, which is possible but Zab might not get close enough to reach the pot of gold.
    Judah and Whitaker's game plan
The “Super” slick southpaw will go for broke in the first half of the fight trying to get to the jack pot, which is Khan's jaw. He has shown in the past a crafty ability to get inside bigger fighters and he also has a one inch reach advantage, which might help him make up that 2.5 inch height advantage of Khan's. Judah will have to bob and weave like a seamstress to get by Khans jab and combos to make it the inside brawl he wants. Zab has to make it a Brooklyn telephone booth street fight and hammer Khan with uppercuts and looping lefts and rights if wants a chance to win this fight. He has to fight defensively after the 6th or 7th round as he tires and use what Pernell has taught him, the art of hit and don't be hit. The longer the fight goes, the more he will grow frustrated with Khan's Houdini act, if he tries to out box the younger champion he will lose by decision. The close quarters combat is where Judah wants to be come Saturday night and if Kahn gets past the 7th round he's golden like the goose.
    Weaknesses
The height advantage of Khan will be an issue in this fight for Judah. The wear and tear of all the wars might have caught up. Mental break downs in the second half of fights
    Betting advice
I'm taking Khan to win by decision at +150 in the betting odds, but this will be a true test for the young champion. Khan only has to out point him from a distance, while fighting tall for a guaranteed win. Khan has to get by the first five rounds of bombardment and then it will be all him, as Judah tires and fades after round seven as usual. Judah by knock out is a good way to really protect your investment for a small amount of money, as you pound Khan to win in by decision +150 (my play) and 7-12 late KO for Khan at + money!
    Other advice
The fight going the distance (in general) at most sportsbooks is away to protect yourself, in-case Judah pulls off a home-town decision which is not likely to happen (20%),as Khan’s the future and Judah's the past. Remember, it's boxing and a lot of screwed up decisions have been floating around of late.
    The pick
Overall, I would bet Kahn by decision big or fight goes the distance plus a Judah by knock out for protection of early KO. Add in Kahn by KO late rounds 7-12 at + money at boxing betting shops in case Judah does his usual in the late rounds. Good luck and happy hunting!

Amir “King Khan” Khan (25-1, 17 knockouts) vs. “Super” Zab Judah (49-6-0-2 NC, 28 knockouts)

Fight fans, circle July 23 on your calender and tune in to HBO, as Golden Boy and Main Events Productions have teamed up to bring us a Jr. Welterweight Title Unification bout between WBA World Super Lightweight Champion Amir “King” Khan and 5 time world champion and currant IBF Light Welterweight Champion “Super” Zab Judah. The winner of the bout will most likely face Timothy Bradley, who is the current WBC and WBO World Light Welterweight Champion, to see who reigns supreme in the 140 pound division.
The fight will take place at Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino, in Las Vegas, Nevada and you don't have to pay a dime to watch it as HBO has it for free at 10 pm ET. The two fighters are at very different stages of their careers. Khan is a 24 year old rising star from England, ready to hit supernova status in the States, where as “Super” Zab Judah at 34, his career has just come off life support and he is at the doorstep of regaining his past elite status.
    Khan and his pedigree
Amir “King” Khan is a former silver medalist from the 2004 Athens Olympics and comes into the fight as a huge favorite in the betting odds at 5-1 over Judah. “King” Khan is blessed with all the physical tools a rising star in boxing needs, but the jury is still out on his suspect jaw!
He did show that he can take a world class punch in his fight versus Marcos Maidana, where he was hurt in the 10th round of that fight and survived on sheer will and determination to pull out the unanimous decision win. The fight showed many fans the heart of this young champion, but still left the critics with the ability to question his jaw. Amir comes into the fight with Judah, off the back of a TD win over then undefeated Irishman Paul McCloskey, after the doctor stopped the fight in the 6th round due to a cut caused by a clash of heads.
    Confidence in camp
Khan and his trainer, Freddie Roach, are very confident coming into this fight and they have brought strength and conditioning coach Alex Ariza back into camp. The move looks like it has paid off as Khan is bigger and leaner than ever.
The training camp has been so successful that Amir and trainer, Freddie Roach ,have surprisingly gone as far as to predict publicly a knock out win over Zab Judah. The war of words between the two fighters has been heated and has spilled over to twitter, where Zab wanted to bet Khan $100,000 dollars that he wouldn't make it to the 12th round. Khan made light of the challenge and stated that he wanted Judah to make some money on the fight since he was so broke.
Amir is a heavy favorite in boxing betting coming into the fight and there is no value on a money line bet, which is at – 500 at BetOnline for Khan, unless you are Donald Trump. The only value I see in this fight is to pick Khan's method of victory, which has Khan to win by KO or TKO at 4/5 or Khan to win by decision at 7/4. The amount of disrespect that is being shown to Zab makes the decision more appealing to me, as I think he will be more motivated to finish the fight on his feet.
    How Khan can win
Khan has a 2.5 inch height advantage over Judah and being a tall fighter for the division, often has trouble fighting on the inside because of his height, which makes him vulnerable to uppercuts and over hand bombs from either side.
Roach's game plan will be for Khan to use his speed and athletic ability to fight from the outside, it is there that he can use his jab to keep his distance and not get caught in an inside battle with a tricky old veteran with power like Judah.
The longer the fight goes, the more the advantage swings to the younger and more athletic Khan. I see Khan not having the finishing power in his hands to knock out Judah late in the fight, who has only been KO'd only twice in his long career, first by Kostya Tszyu (2nd RD, 2001) and then by Miguel Cotto (11th RD, 2007).
Out of the two, the better bet is on the decision, as Khan would rather out point Judah then risk getting hurt or KO'd himself going for the KO. I would spend a little more money on the decision win for Khan, but there is always an outside chance Khan gets his KO in the late rounds.
