    Alistair probably won't hit or even attempt a guillotine while werdum is fresh.
    His best chance is after werdum is rocked, but I don't see that happening either. I think alistair would go for the finish with strikes rather than attempt a sub.

    Werdum isn't Igor Vovchanchyn or James Thompson, so he's not going to be submitted with a standing guillotine. You either need to be significantly taller than your opponent, or significantly more skilled to pull that off. Overeem's only hope of tapping him with a guillotine would require pulling guard, but he'd have to be a crazy man to even contemplate that.

    I think Overeem's only hope of a submission is if Werdum taps to strikes. Worth it at +1430? Not for me.

    I'd rather take Cormier to win in the 3rd Round at about those odds. I think Monson will be tired in the 3rd, and more likely to be finished then.

    If Overeem feels like winning by submission he will. Maybe he will decide to put him to sleep since Werdum was wearing his pajamas at the weigh ins.

    Just remember, Overeem has more muscles than a seafood platter.

    In interviews Overeem also said he wanted to TKO KO Werdum, so it's very unlikely he will try to submit him.

    Pretty sure Ubereem gets the TKO in this one. I thought about a sub too... but it's highly unlikely to happen against a guy like Werdum.

    It's not impossible, but you're basically throwing your money away. The only way I could see it happening is if the fight went 3 rounds and Mr. Roids wore him out and got a lucky standing guillotine from Werdum's takedown attempt.

    Except for tapping to strikes, Overeem submitting Werdum is as close to impossible as anything in sports. Werdum's grapping is light years ahead of Overeem's. And a guillotine? No one can catch Werdum in something so easy to counter.
