You're right, they'd only void it if u'd got Ellenberger at plus something..i.e a total line reversal.

With regards to Pierson, IMO he will be the best wrestler that Ellenberger has ever faced, last time Ellenberger faced a decent wrestler was Story who he lost to. Pierson also has a decent jab which might work well against Ellenberger who's stand up is still pretty basic IMO as he showed against Rocha where he just looked for the one shot KO the whole time. He's a purple belt in BJJ so his overall grappling might be better than Ellenberger...he's had a solid camp with GSP and Zahabi as well. I'd consider a play on Pierson if it goes back to +200 or better as I expect it will...difficult to imagine Ellenberger being finished tho so a fight to go distance prop will probly be my play...both dudes are tough as hell.

Yeah, I'm gonna stay away from an Ellenberger play at this point at current odds... seems too easy (trap-ish). I read the Pierson vs Riddle play by play and it did sound like Pierson utilized his jab quite well. (kinda like that distance prop -- will keep an eye out for that).

Mixed martial arts legend Randy Couture will retire from active competition after his bout with Lyoto Machida at UFC 129, Sky Sports reported Wednesday.




The 47-year-old, who made his mixed martial arts debut in 1997, will fight for the last time in front of 55,000 fans at the Rogers Centre in Toronto on April 30.
Couture is a three-time heavyweight champion in UFC and has also held the light-heavyweight title twice.

BHendo is a steal at -125. Gsp, aldo, machida, hendo parlay 1 to win 2.6 any reason why I shouldn't go big on this parlay? All look like locks to me... would like machida at lower odds but I don't think randy brings anything to the table that can hurt machida. Machida has very underrated takedowns/takedown defense. Machida has the power to ko him or he could get top control on the ground and get a choke like he did against sokoudjou. Very tough spot for Randy here.

Yea i had Miller in that fight and got lucky because i though Bocek won rounds 2 and 3 for the decision. Pride rules Bocek wins on the 2nd round alone. If they gave him that decision he's on a 5 fight win streak, and improved alot since being worked over by Danzig

Well in that Miller fight Bocek seemed to start fading in the third and miller failed to pressure him really since he also seemed fatigued. Bendo has done the 5 rounders and I don't ever remember him being gassed and he can bring the fight in those later rounds. Also bendo is going to be a lot harder to take down... if anything i see bendo putting bocek on his back and getting in some GnP. His standup is superior and more versatile compared to boceks and his resiliancy really stands out. When he fought roller, he was in trouble big time getting dropped with big punches and put in a tight guillotine.... gutted it out and a minute later put roller down and out with nice combo punches. Bendo also has good subs as well. He has to many ways to win this fight. Bocek is more predictable.

You might eat those words. I wouldn't put it past Bendo to get a guillotine in when Bocek is shooting for the takedown. Maybe in the third when Bocek is gassed. And what has Bocek done to prove hes got as good stand up as Bendo? He's got decent strong jabs but doesn't mix things up. Bendo has good leg kicks and follows up with good combination punches.

bendo may have better condition, but how much do you think this aspect plays a role in this fight? More than boceks superior grappling?

Bocek really took a time out after the danzig fight, and has since that fight trained with a lot of specialist in the standup department. Sometimes fighters says stuff like, i have had the best training camp ever, or i am a new fighter and all that crap, but bocek is really looking better after what he said. He is a very intelligent guy from what i have heard on radioshows, very analytical, and reflective.

In the standup i think its quite even, i dont think bendo is all that in the standup really. But bocek got good takedown, and superb bjj, and has even dominated jim miller, which is an amazing fighter for 11 or 12 minutes of that fight. I think its more logical to look at what a fighter does, than to isolate a fighters capabilities. Dont get me wrong, bendo is good, but i think bocek is better from what they have achieved. May be ******* razor close though..but the advantage is in boceks favour in my opinion.
