Scammed by Bookmaker.eu (horrible customer service)

Bookmaker.eu just ripped me off of $60. I showed proof and they did nothing

    I just deposited $60 on bookmaker.eu

Here is the address, it literally shows they have a balance of $60 on etherscan! Anyone with half a brain can see this

    0xd7fb6547df4ced4fc8c3c50188011963cc012b 23

I was with their support team and they claim that they never received the funds and kept dismissing me. This is their exact messages.

“we have not receive the funds and we will never received to that address as we already rejected and cancelled”

And after I kept pushing them just to click the penetrating link they said this

“Thank you for waiting! The transaction is pending on backend but it seems that there was no funds transfer. It could be an error at the time of sent . What we can do right now is reject this one so you can do it again.”

They offered to return the eth to the wallet it was sent. I told them I used kraken and it won’t send to me just to the penetrating kraken base of eth and they didn’t listen. Additionally as of the time of this post, their wallet still has $60!

Additionally I asked if this wallet is correct and they confirmed that it’s the right address.

BE CAREFUL! Do not deposit large sums on bookmaker because they can honestly just keep it and tell you to penetrate off. I’m lucky that I was only robbed of $60!

You gotta get past first level support, if you’re lucky by the time they finally credit your original deposit it’ll be $50. Could be even less the way crypto is dumping,

ask them to escalate the issue in live chat or send an email. most live chat initial responders know little and/or have no power.

This is part of the risk of not always having a wallet you control yourself at one end of every transfer.

Have they sent it back to Kraken yet?

if not, PM your account number and I can ping someone in there who cares enough to try and fix it if it can be.

Why are you using etherium? The fees will eat up half of your deposit. It is the worst crypto for transactions.

Crazy fees and you can even lose the whole fee when buying NFTs if they sell out before you get one. If it's a must to use ETH, do it during slow periods and check the GWEI.

Yeup, you are at the mercy of the nft market if you use ETH. Fees can spike up to over $25 at any given moment. The best crypto to use for deposits at BM is Litecoin. Fees are under a penny and deposits are posted in less than 5 minutes.

If the correct amount was sent to the correct address, why does Bookmaker.eu not withdraw the money and transfer it to the account? As far as I know, when there is a problem with crypto transfers, contacting the receiver account source solves the problem. The sending account holder no longer has a chance to intervene. Where the origin of the receiver address is, the problem can be solved from there. I made a transfer from Gate.io to Binance. However, the money was not transferred. Gate.io was unable to intervene in the situation. Binance had fixed the issue.

For those of you that think Bookmaker is solid, I used to be one of you. I was scammed out of $1,600 and basically told "it's not their problem". I had used Bookmaker for years. I had a very secure password (apple generated 24 character or something), but someone must have hacked their database and stole customer's info.

Heres the scam I was able to uncover: the hacker gets people's login. This usually happens right after a deposit is made on your end. The hacker then changes your password, wagers the amount needed to clear withdrawal procedures, and withdrawals all your money via crypto. Usually while you're asleep because they're on the other side of the world.

I made a deposit to bet on the Super Bowl. I woke up the next day to see I had pennies in my account. Not only did they withdraw all my money, I had a credit card linked on file. (my fault, I know, but I thought I was secure) So they deposited even more money, maxing out my credit card. Once I pieced all of this together, I filed a credit card dispute for all the deposits the hacker made. The credit card company gave me my money back. I heard nothing from Bookmaker, nobody reached out about anything. My account was open, with $0.00 in it. That was it for a while.

A few months later, I made a deposit for another big game. I woke up the next day to see my account once again with pennies in it. I immediately contacted "support" (what a joke) just to find out Bookmaker themselves had simply taken the money out of my account. They claimed I owed them money. I explained the whole situation to them and they told me "to talk to my bank." My bank had absolutely nothing to do with anything, but they didn't care.

First, bookmaker's security is horrible. They got hacked in some way, had no idea, and didn't care after being told about it multiple times. I lost about $1,200 at first, got refunded roughly $1,200. All is fine so far. Then months later when I make a new deposit of $1,600 for another bet, Bookmaker takes it and tells me to f**k off. The hacker/scammer gets away with over $4,500. Bookmaker gets $1,600 back. And the customer who did nothing wrong loses $1,600.

If I knew a good lawyer that would take the case, I'd sue the f**k out of those clowns. They will never get my business ever again.

To me this sounds like the scammer has access to your computer and accessed bookmaker through your own IP/device. The hacker is watching your every move.

Bookmaker didn’t get hacked, you’re the one who got hacked. Once you file a charge back to any sports book, that is the final curtain with your relationship with them. They are not going to help anyone that files a charge back regardless of what you say. They refunded you 1200 the first time. They are not getting bit again. A lot of your story doesn’t sound believable.

It’s disappointing they couldn’t help with your initial problem, but unless you can prove it was their fault, you are probably SOL.

Did you charge back all of the deposits or just the deposits the hacker made? You said the chargebacks made you whole.

Either way, once you charge back you are dead to that bookmaker and possibly the whole industry. Of course they are going to confiscate $$ you charged back if you redeposit.

i believe wombat and bleedblue explained what i meant to say a lot better

from bookmaker's standpoint they never were paid for money that was bet. they are saying talk to your bank b/c they did the chargebacks for you resulting in bookmaker needing to be paid back. bookmaker needing to be paid and what the hacker did are independent events.

You sent Crypto directly from an exchange to a sportsbook? That's a big no-no. You need to move it to your wallet off of Kraken before you do that.

I considered this, but if the hacker somehow gained access to my password bank, he would have had access to all my sports book accounts, all my p@ss words, and all my accounts everywhere. The only place anything fraudulent ever happened was on Bookmaker. Sometime's you have to use the process of elimination to figure things out.

It's good to know about the charge back with sports books. That makes sense, I've just never been in this situation. And I wasn't taking a $1200 loss for some scammer to get free money. Like I said in my post it was 100% my fault for ever trying to use them again afterwards. That part is my fault.
