Geez, everyone on SBR will be calling me Walt now. It's a change I'll take it!

Oh and cyber space can keep my $126 bucks. I've embraced the inevitable and am good with it. I've surrendered to the burning cash Gods.

Just remember big spenders on SBR that $126 will fill up your gas tank at the pumps in a pinch these days in Biden's America right now. Not really chump change when you think of it that way.

Jibber, you obviously clicked on something accidentally on Bovada. Computers don't make mistakes, people do.

Nothing happens at Bovada and I wait a full day for my Bovada account to be funded. NOTHING STILL.

I contacted Bovada this morning and let them know what happened and provide them again with the bitcoin address they provided me, they tell me they have no out going records on my account with that bitcoin address and they can do nothing about it. I'm like this is BS! Copy and Paste bitcoin addresses don't lie or make mistakes. I then contact Coinbase to retrieve the funds that are in limbo now and they can do nothing because of their strict policy..

So I'm basically now out hundreds of dollars that are floating around in bitcoin cyber space with this bitcoin address that neither source can claim or recover including me. I can't even tell if someone at Bovada claimed it already and just giving me the run around? Who knows? I never had this problem before with any book!

Am I screwed and is this money gone and lost forever in cyberspace or can I recover it? It's not the end of the world for me if I don't get this money back but it's the principle of it and I will be gun shy to deposit in Bovada again in the future if this money is never recovered. It's just a damn shame!

    LITTLE HELP SBR?
Did you happen to take screenshots of the btc address that Bovada instructed you to send the btc to? I also take screenshots of my transaction once I send it from my Coinbase acct. I could be wrong but I feel like if you have the evidence/proof (to the point they have zero room to debate/dispute anything on their end,) then they’ll have to make it right.

Seriously sorry to hear this happened to you though man. I hate that for you. I hope they can figure out wth happened ASAP!

Yeah, because the alternative would surely be smarter. Live in a tent that costs $126 and deposit $2 million for gambling? People with money have a lot of money because they don’t waste a bunch of it. Shocking for you I know.

Someone will make an effort, long after this thread is forgotten about. Ohhh….look what I found, there’s gold in them there hills. Keep the transaction code Jibby, you can see if that $126 ever moves to another wallet, it will one day.

Bovada is being lazy. They can do a sweep of their BTC wallet for BVC, and make the necessary change. They just don't want to spend the 15 minutes, or the fee to do it.

If Bovada exports the address to a bitcoin wallet, the BTC will be in there.

If it was sent to an exchange, then the money is lost. Either way, Bovada should pay the $126 since Jibby sent the money in good faith.

Just reread this and I meant to say export private keys. If Bovada owns the key, then exporting to a bitcoin wallet should allow them to get the BTC. Most of the time you'll see it the other way around, BTC accidentally sent to a BSV wallet. That can be recovered too but can take longer. It really depends on the wallet used on whether it can be done or not along with the time it can take.

Offshore and the words “good faith” don’t even belong in the same paragraph. They probably got a good laugh about it at their call center. Bunch of greasy wannabe Mexicans laughing like hyenas (anyone who has called a Costa Rican book enough knows the exact background noise I’m describing) making $1.00 USD an hour.

    Hi John,

Thanks for contacting Bovada Customer Service.

Hope this email finds you safe and well!

Please accept my apologies for calling you by different name.

As I checked website generated BTC SV address, however funds were sent to regular BTC address,

In this case we are not able to credit funds to your account since it never reflected on your end.

I'd kindly suggest you to contact your wallet provider for further assistance regarding this case.

We're available to help 24/7 if you need anything else.

    Thanks,

That money is lost and gone.

I'm using litecoin for depositing now. Seems to go much smoother, you don't get the same bonuses as when using Bitcoin though. I even used Litecoin with Bovada and it went through the other day just fine with no problems. I gave Bovada another chance even though I think I got stiffed.

Bovada has always treated me right through the years until that last deposit. Hard to say goodbye to that book.

You have a lot of patience with a failed business practice, Jibs. I personally wouldn't have gone back and would've trashed them on SBR. Just me. I hope others don't get burned, that's the main fear. If they got away with it once, they'll do it again. Gotta make it hurt.

If that ever happens again on Bovada then I'm really out and for good! I just love using Bovada for MMA betting. It's just old habit.

My last $200 deposit went through just fine using litecoin with Bovada on their deposit page.

Heritage has a decent MMA platform if you want to give them a shot. I use BOL also but they can be rude when talking to CS. Problem with these off shore books is they have lost a lot of market share to the legalized U.S online books. It may bury them.

    They lost very little marketshare
Many experts are predicting they’re actually going to gain in the future because of how bad most of the USA places are

Every single book is still around that’s all you need to know even the small ones in USA wagering has been around three years

Any real professional 80% of his plays are offshore go ask anybody that does this for a living

They are too ingrained all over the world for the last 20 years you can’t knock places like that out

    Nope
Nobody wants to hear it but offshores in a very great place

I probably forgot more than everybody here combined about the industry

Payperhead prices haven’t even remotely diminished which says it all the backbone of offshore wagering

There’s still so many people betting with local clockmakers because of the cash aspect

Remember you have to pay taxes in the USA that’s not good business for professional because it’s hard enough to win where the margins are small

Ranger go read about USA places they’re banning everybody every day even squares that win
