Movement in other majors was mixed. XRP and Terra’s LUNA gained upward of 4%, while Solana’s SOL slid 1.2%. A dip in SOL followed a seven-hour network outrage on the Solana over the weekend as bots related to an NFT project spammed the network, causing temporary technical issues.

Users paid over 71,000 ether – nearly $200 million at the time of publication as per CoinGecko – in gas fees trying to purchase land on Otherside. This is by far a record high for the network, surpassing a January peak of over 19,200 ether. Yuga Labs definitely dropped the ball. One good thing is that they are paying back everyone that lost fees. Conspiracy theorists are saying Yuga wanted the drop to fail in order to push their own blockchain. Yuga is the major player in the NFT world. They own BAYC, MAYC and Crypto Punks. They were able to get APE on almost all the exchanges within two weeks.

I don't think the drop failed necessarily, they raked in north of 35 million profit so giving back 4 million or so in lost fees saves face. They have a guaranteed following at the moment for sure

Wow I was rushing yesterday, yeah yuga not yugo labs made over 350 not 35 million from the land sale with about 4 million lost in fees for those who got stuck like myself. The actual product though won't be available anytime soon, probably north of 5 yrs hence the tank and sell off occuring
