Does CashApp seriously ban accounts even if you use a middleman wallet?

I saw some posts about how Cashapp banned them even though they never sent crypto directly to offshores. How is that even possible? And if they do this what's a viable alternative for buying and transferring quickly without big fees?

I can confirm that yes they do. I always used an intermediary wallet, never even sent BTC to cash app or cashed out using cash app. I strictly used it to buy bitcoin. I was told that cash app traces up to 10 hops so this could why, tracing 2 hops would get most folks. I’ve found nothing that competes with cash app price wise. Coinbase is quick and easy but the fees are high, they also dont seem to care as long as you use an intermediary wallet. Same for Gemini.

They banned me also and never sent to any sportsbooks. They would not give me a reason for the banning either. Fuk them.

Cash app will ban you regardless if you are sending directly to sportsbook or not. I've gotten banned twice, restarted another account and then banned again. I honestly think they will ban you if you meet a certain threshold of transactions in a month. Probably if you have more than 15
transactions in a month that involves bitcoin, you will be on their radar eventually.

Unfortunately, there is no other place that you can buy with debit card and the lowest fees like cash app. They also send your Bitcoin the fastest as well.

Can't believe they still do this.

    WTF?

They know what they need to report, not sure why they are so shaky about it all.

Honestly I think that's what it is. They must be autobanning anyone based on their transactions, I find the hop tracing thing a little far-fetched

Same as far as not giving me a reason. But I did send to books. But they wouldnt tell me thats why I got banned, I had to go to Twitter messages to get someone to respond and all they said was "violating terms and conditions" but wouldn't tell me what I violated (even though I knew)

Not your keys, not your bitcoin.

If you can't get a hardware wallet and control your own private keys, at least download electrum.
and control your private keys on your computer.

Don't understand what I'm talking about? Look into it, do your own research.

And stop selling your muther focking bitcoin for cash!

    I sold 20 bitcoin I received from sportsbooks for $300 each in 2015, yay I got $6000.

Has anyone tried Robinhood to buy & transfer cryptos ? If so what are the fees associated with sending to another wallet ? They just recently implemented this feature on their app.

I haven’t enabled the feature on RH but I have received three separate phishing emails telling me to resubmit my ID because it wasn’t clear. No thanks, they were good phishing emails too, only problem was they weren’t from robinhood and wanted me to click a link. I had to change my email. If it’s anything like before the fees are ridiculous even when using a limit order. So bad I complained and they said the trades were executed by a third party holding company. I’m not sure RH will be a thing in 2-3 years, people finally figured out “free” isn’t free. HOOD’s IPO was at $38 in July 2021, went to $85 in early August and straight down ever since. $10/share now. Glad to see Vlad taking it on the chin.

Thanks for the info PD, yeah using RH to transfer crypto night not be the best option. Figured you could save money not having to pay any fees to buy it & then send it to middle wallet.

When I played around on RH with crypto awhile ago you could set a buy price of say $38,500 but your trade wouldn’t execute at that price even though it showed $38,500 on Robinhood. It wouldn’t execute until the price got well below $38,500. Same thing for sells. They’re getting the fees one way or another, they just don’t make it obvious.

Yeah I hear what you’re saying. Gemini exchange is always giving me a much lower price than what I paid for with my own eyes every single time, it’s absurd at this point.
