    AsianConnect / Orbit stole me over 1000 euro

    Hi SBR users, sorry for lamenting, but I don't see other way to got back my money.
    11 May 2019 - first email from AC, that my orbit account is suspended:

    Hi Patryk,
    I hope this email finds you well.
    We are writing to inform you that we have been notified by our OrbitX upline regarding irregular betting activities found in your Orbit account. In this regard, we regret to inform you that OrbitX have decided to suspend and put your balance on hold for further investigation.

    We thank you for your understanding on this matter as we have no control over OrbitX process in connection with player’s betting pattern.

    We will notify you once we have received any updates from Upline.
    If you have any concerns in the future, please do not hesitate to get in touch with us.

    Writing on live chat with AC nothing help. The same formula as alwayes when are any problems:

    "We regret to inform you as we do not have exact time frame.
    Rest assured we will inform you as soon as we have receive feedback from them.


    I wrote also on orbit customer service which say are 24/7 - they don't reply to me till yesterday.

    So I waited...

    New email from AC (14.05.2019):

    "Dear Patryk,

    I hope this email finds you well.

    We are writing to give you an update on the status of your account with Orbitx.

    After further investigation made by Orbitx; we were informed that irregular betting pattern; more specifically a FUNDS PASSING violation have been detected and confirmed in your account. Below are the bet ID for your reference

    Bet ID: 6828496

    As stated in Orbitx Terms and Condition Section 7: FRAUDULENT ACTIVITIES, PROHIBITED TRANSACTION AND FAILED DEPOSIT: FRAUDULENT ACTIVITIES, PROHIBITED TRANSACTIONS AND FAILED DEPOSITS

    7.1 If, in Our sole determination, You are found to have cheated or attempted to defraud Us including but not limited to game manipulation or payment fraud, or manipulation of the multi-currency facilities, or if We suspect You of fraudulent payment, including use of stolen debit or ************, or any other fraudulent activity (including but not limited to any ********** or other reversal of a payment) or prohibited transaction (including but not limited to money laundering) or if Your deposits failed to be honoured by Your bank for any reason, We reserve the right to immediately suspend and/or close Your Account and recover bad debts using whichever method may lawfully be available to Us.

    7.2 We reserve the right to void and withhold any or all winnings made by any person or group of persons where We have reasonable grounds to believe that said person or group of persons is acting or has acted in liaison in an attempt to defraud or damage Us in any way.

    Asianconnect have done everything to coordinate this case and retrieve your funds however, the decision of our up-line on this matter is final and we have no control over the way they handle accounts with fraudulent activities. In this regard, your account will be permanently closed and your funds seized.

    Till 14 May I was able to login to my orbit account, but can't place any bet, or transfer money on AC panel.

    When I received an email above I was even unable to check what it was a bet. So I had to ask about it on AC chat.

    AC chat send me on chat the screenshot of this bet.

    It was bet: Lay the odd 1,3 on one of basketball match. Why I placed this bet? Betburger found more than 50% surebet on this event. But someone was faster and took this odd. So I put my own stake and odd (the same as betburer show). I forgot about this, because as You see I risked 7,5 Euro to win 25 euro. - I attached screen shot of this bet which I get from AC chat.

    On my wallet was more than 1300 euro.

    How AsianConnect help me solve this problem? Just look on their response:

    "Zilene: Apologies however we really have no control over such matter, it was Upline's decision.

    Me: So what You recommend me to do? Let You take me money without the reason yes?

    Zilene: In the future, if you have concerns regarding your account under Asianconnect, please contact us directly and not Upline. As your account is under us, we should be the one communication with them.
    Hoping for your patience and understanding."


    So I send once again email to Orbit. This time they reply after few minutes. But since this email, I send another 2 without response.

    "Hi Sir,

    Thank you for the email and we are sorry to hear of your situation.

    As I'm sure you can appreciate we have to take measures to protect all customers. Please confirm your Orbit username and who your agent is and we can take a further look in to this for you. Do note Betfair decision is final so once they feedback to us we then have to adhere to what they say.

    Many thanks in advance and chat again soon.

    Sorry for lamenting, but I have to write about it on forums like this, maybe after that they will do something... Now I lost my money, nervous and time...

    To sum up. Asian Connect said this is Orbit decision. Orbit said this is Betfair decision.

    Do You think writing to betfair will help anything? I really envy players who can normally play at trusted Betfair Exchange.

    You sound quite innocent, but honestly I would be very surprised if Betfair took action for money transferring without being fairly sure there was a connection between your account and the receiver.

    If you know your sub account ID at Betfair from OrbitX you can try asking Betfair directly. You can get lucky with the right CS operator there sometimes who will confirm/deny if that sort of punitive action has been taken by them.

    But if you are in communication with OrbitX already, I would ask them first if they can show you some evidence of Betfair doing this, as you will go to Betfair to fight this directly if they cannot.


    I doubt we can help much if it really is a decision that flowed down from Betfair to Orbit to AC but if you send in a complaint form with your details as LittleKona suggested, we can at least ask a senior AC manager to have a look over what has happened.

    Thank for your replys. Orbit started to cooperate with me.

    After few emails, they wrote:

    "Dear Sir,

    I have looked into the circumstances around your account closure and can now update you in more detail. The account was closed on the recommendation of our partners at Betfair who identified a series of fund passing transactions on the market where you were betting. At Orbit we operate a zero tolerance approach to fund passing and therefore you account was prevented from placing subsequent bets and our funds from that particular bet were frozen. We take fund passing very seriously and will not stand for this kind of activity to take place on our exchange.

    It has come to our attention in the last 24 hours that some innocent customers have been caught in the cross fire on this occasion. When re-investigating your individual bets, we feel that you are one of these innocent parties who has inadvertently been caught up in this issue. We apologize for the distress of your account being closed and we will be reinstating the account with immediate effect with all frozen funds now returned.

    We have the right to close any account without warning where we believe that fraudulent activity such as fund passing has taken place. Please be aware that we will not tolerate such practices and we will close accounts where Betfair expresses a belief that fund passing has occurred. In your case we regret the distress caused and hope you will find this a suitable apology to resume betting with Orbit. Your agent will be contacted immediately and the situation will be outlined to them too.

    Nikki:
    Thank you Sir, Please be reminded that you have now record of fund passer. Please beware of your betting style. Once upline detect you once again, they might permanently closed your account.

    Before I was unable to login to my account. Now I checked it and what I see?

    From the stake of 25 Euro... 0,55 Euro was PLACED ! Not full 25 Euro.

    So.. Because of this bet I am on the list of suspicious players !! I lost my nervous and time fighting for my money.

    I would forward a copy of the OrbitX email to AsianConnect and ask them if they can help you get your limits restored.

    And also reply to OrbitX asking the same thing.

    I expect it is an error somewhere, either at AC or Orbit.

    Good news...I too along with a few others on sbr where innocently caught up in something similar year a go or so...our cases where all resolved to our satisfaction and orbitx has been fine since...sbr was a great help

    Money laundering I guess, let's say he lost his bet on the baseball game but the other account won the bet.

    Quite a shocking story.

    Well it could happen to anyone if you have the bad luck to bet on a small liquidity market because of Betburger it seems.

    Be aware of Orbit !

    Hello everyone. Thank You very much for your previous replies.

    I have good and bad news. In May 2019 when I created this topic. After some weeks finally they unblocked my account and give me back money. They only increased me a commision to 6%. I am sorry I didn't made update in this topic before, but I was really angry on them.
    I made bad decision. Because I still played with orbit. Unfortunatly I don't have other alternatives as I live in Poland.

    I can't use betfair directly.
    I tried to have less monay on my account. Everything was fine... since last week.
    Betburger softfare found huge errors on basketball match Rio Claro - Sao Paulo (Pre match).

    I thought I am lucky, because on this match I earned around 520 euro.

    But in the morning the story with suspending account was replied. I sended emails to Asian Connect and Orbit.

    After week, today they send me an email that after reviewing my account the told that I am FUND PASSER.

    Orbit ignore me, and don't reply. Asian Connect support told me that this is final decission and they take all my money (920 Euros)

    Before this incident I played many bets all connected with arbing.

    You got a final warning and then placed an obvious wrong line with „588% return“? Greed can give you a lot of trouble.

    Funds passing is where one party offers totally uncompetitive odds on a slow market (that would never be matched normally), and the other party matches those terrible odds.

    Taking an arb, or someone else's error in offering silly good odds is the opposite, and is NOT funds passing in any way. Normally these errors get snapped up by bots unless you happen to be in the right place at exactly the right time.
