I've learned a valuable lesson the last couple of days.

If you request a payout from a sports book to Bitcoin, go ahead and withdraw from your wallet or turn it into cash.

If you want to continue gambling, then why even withdraw and play the odds with Bitcoin when you can just leave your money in the book and do so and at least have some control over what you're doing.

Whoever did it, it appears the intent was to buy more, not dump.

I withdrew right about where it is now 7900-8000 range.

When I posted it was about 8400 the night before and I nearly took a profit by withdrawing then but decided to wait, when it crashed next day.

That stuff to me is like playing blackjack online watching your balance go up & down lol

Meet the 20-year old bitcoin trader who says he turned $1,000 into $3.7 million

    Alexandra Canal
    5/18/19

After a wild ride down from a record high near $20,000, bitcoin (BTC-USD) has recently roared back, hovering above $7,000 on Friday.

The world’s largest cryptocurrency has surged 50% in May, leading some big-name crypto players to declare the end of the so-called ‘crypto winter.’

Yet 20-year-old bitcoin trader Erik Finman is not so sure — despite having reaped the benefits of the cryptocurrency’s surge.

Finman first invested in the space at just 12 years old after his grandmother gifted him $1,000, and tells Yahoo Finance that his initial investment’s “grown into 458 bitcoins now, so that’s about $3.7 million.”

Still, Finman is no bitcoin bull. The 20-year-old previously told MarketWatch that the popular cryptocurrency was “dead”, and he still thinks the cryptocurrency market has problems that need to be solved.

After stating that bitcoin would probably see at least a few more bull runs, Finman said that the current rally is “teetering on the end. Is this a bull run, is it not? Is this just a bump? I don’t know. We’ll see.”

Bitcoin ‘will die’ if 4 problems aren’t solved
Bitcoin’s long-term outlook is a little less clear, the young investor said, citing four key problems that could lead to the currency’s demise.

“One, its high transaction fees. Two, it takes a long time to send anything,” he told Yahoo Finance.

Additionally, “the people that are trying to solve those problems — it’s fragmented, it’s ‘cult-ish’, it’s a lot of in-group fighting. And I think the fourth one is it’s really hard to get into” the cryptocurrency space, Finman said.

“Bitcoin will die if those problems aren’t solved,” he added.

But Finman is still not ready to give up on the crypto just yet.

“I think bitcoin will have one more big rally — at least,” he predicted. “So I’ll wait to sell when it has that big rally.”

    Probably

I think the same thing happened with the guy who bet all that money on Tiger to win the Masters.

He was probably new because right after that he put a big chunk on Tiger to win again.

Thought it was a piece of cake and got a reality check.

    BCH going CRAZY! +18% today.

I'm no crypto-expert, but I've heard techs say that BCH is the preferred form of Bitcoin (vs BTC). Right now the BTC/BCH price ratio is just short of 20:1. Could that ratio become 10:1?

Does BCH have better usability than BTC?

Lot of bad actors in this space. You have to always be wary about "experts" as they are often paid for their opinions.

BCH (Bitcoin ABC) is backed by Roger Ver and Jihan **. Ver was an early investor in bitcoin. ** co-founded Bitmain which designs mining hardware and operates one of the largest mining pools. Both are unbelievably rich and have pushed hard for BCH to overtake BTC.

There's also Craig Wright (Fake Satoshi) who champions Bitcoin SV, one of the three forks of BCH (Bitcoin Unlimited being the other).

The main difference between any of the BCH variants and BTC is scalability. As for any being better than the other, I'm not really smart enough with respect to the technical side to give a good answer. But all 3 people listed are giant megalomaniacs and most believe their goal is to control the market as opposed to benefiting the ecosystem and improving the technology.

Thx for the response, AsiaG. I'm always trying to learn.

I have to listened to Wright talk. Pretty funny, he has quite the mouth on him. Have to say has plenty of FU$$, so he can say whatever he wants.

The only problem right now with BCH is that BTC.Top has recently controlled over 51% of the hashing power. A 51% attack would cause real problems although some BTC miners could switch to help prevent such attack.
