I read that if it falls below $3,200, it's really going to sink from there.

One of the biggest issues with bitcoin is that the price is easily manipulated by whales and big players in the market.

It was a great ride for those that got in early and rode it to its top but investing in any crypto right now would be crazy.

Everyone said it won't go down below $6k which is what the cost for every BTC mining. I think this is sinking ship.

supply vs demand, story as old as time

almost all of these alt coins are going to 0... so many originators had 1-year holds on their holdings, when those are up it's sell at any price

i got lucky and sold what i withdrew today right before a 400 drop

Why would they do that heh, it's same amount of $ at the time, $500 in bitcoin etc. whatever the conversion is, not like the things in the store are buying say 1 coin for a certain price, then that might make sense!

That said, I certainly wouldn't mind if they did that Almost glad they didn't have a Black Friday special on buying bitcoin like I think they did last year - I would certainly have taken advantage and within one day, my "investment" would already have lost like 20-25% of its value!

Ahh ok. Well if that's the case this year too, guess we shall see. Not sure it's worth the risk at this point but who knows if it ever was! But generally the feeling seems to be much more inclined towards doom than it is towards it going way back up. As always though, who really knows!

i just keep buying. The lower just means more. If it comes back it is a win. If it loses well it wouldn't be my first loser.

Tulip bubble all over again. When you really think about it, a hundred years from now people will see the Tulip bubble and Bitcoin as very similar. An "asset" with no true utility peaking at some peoples annual salaries.

I don't see an end in site here. There was a big wave of people who bought between 1,000-4,000 early last year. Many people never sold thinking it would go to 100k. Now that it has done a full 75-80% retracement these long time holders are going to be in a tough situation.

    A) Keep it and take it to the grave (no longer riding with house money)
    B) sell now and lock in a small profit or break even

Many of those people are choosing option A because there are a lot of weak hands in this market and so many BTC are held by so few people.

There were plenty of people that made a killing on bitcoin but all good things must come to an end.

Unfortunately there are people that lost a lot of dough on it as well.

The thing that truly kills BTC is it's a pain in the ass and confusing to most people.

I'm very tech savvy but was even like wtf. I had to really grasp the concept so I didn't "lose" my coins somehow. Just trying to understand the safe process of backing up is whole lesson.

    This turns off most people.

yeah but when it was going up like crazy, people would put up with the process

how in the world are any new investors going to be interested in bitcoin after watching it fall from 20k to 3k... crypto market was always like beanie babies, except that beanie babies are cute and are at least worth SOMETHING, 10 years from now nobody is gonna give you anything for 1 eos or xrp
