Looking for an alternate to the BitPay card, suggestions?

Well, Bitpay closed all of my cards. Apparently they dont like you using your card outside of the US for an extended period.

Any suggestions? all the rest look like fly-by-night places with shitty reviews.

It's an extra step, but I've had no problem selling btc on Paxful or LocalBitcoin with an Amex Serve to Serve transfer. Vig on sale more than covers Amex ATM fees. $1/mo maintenance waived with $500 in transactions.

That sucks, I've had no issues in over three years and a few hundred transfers.

Bookmaker is wonderful, but that doesnt solve my issue.

I would only be able to load funds from bookmaker and nowhere else. But if I get a btc debit card... well now I have a card that I can load from every book that offers BTC withdrawals.

On what I’ve read from his post, bitpay shut him down from using the card because he was using it outside the US for a period of time. Unless I’m understanding it incorrectly.

Costa Rica, for a little over a year now, weird thing is I called and talked them and told them I would be using it here indefinitely and they said no problem and noted the account. Months later they cited this as the reason to close my accounts

Well this is disappointing news. My bitpay card is on the way here. Had to have it shipping to my brother in the States, and he re-mailed it to me.

I’m guessing the customer service person you spoke to was full of crap. So sorry to hear this man.

V1sa USA and International are two different companies.

International recently shut down some countries cards.

I'd bet this is a policy for V USA not to step on Internationals toes.

I'd guess if the card gets used for a year, or 6 months, or some period like that without a domestic USA transaction it will get flagged.

    Just my guess.

I hope you have better luck than me, was a great great option to have here.

Worst part is.. they didnt even notify me of closing my cards, and let me to continue to load... I didnt find out to until my load was stuck in pending for 2 days.. and i am still having to harass them about refunding the BTC back to my wallet... on day #11 right now since it happened.

Is there a link to the information for this card?

Fees to use the card? Per swipe?

What if you don't use the card for 3 months? Any fees?

    Thanks.

Thanks for the info. I wonder if there are any fees when swiping the card to pay for something? I might contact Bookmaker directly... and see if they can send me more literature on the card.

I don’t think this works for US residents.
