Man, that means Litecoin is useless for micro transactions too. :\
If he sent it directly from Coinbase, that's the problem, they inflate the miner's fee more than a hot air balloon.

But sending to a sportsbook..... some sportsbooks charge a flat $30.00 processing fee back to Bitcoin. Just giving you the heads up.

That's more like what I expected.

I guess the $7 person was not talking about miner fees.

Do you end up with exactly what you expect once credited? Or is there some variance?

Here's how to deal with those terribly high Bitcoin transaction fees

Sounds like help is coming but its slow.

Maybe the LTC he had dropped by $7 in value in between when he bought and it hit the book if it was during a volatile time.

That’s probably what happened. The 15 minutes was CB to loaf to book, but it took an hour for BOL to credit. Bottom line the fees and time with Litecoin was lightning quick compared to Bitcoin these days.

Just need an easy and direct way for bettors AND books and their payment processors to buy/sell/manage risk the way it can be done with Bitcoin now.

BitcoinCash or Litecoin appear to be best placed to provide this first to me.
I sold 10 lite coins the other day and coinbase charged me 54. But seeing i bought them at 27 a piece and sold at 354 i just said ok.

Future reference, sell them through GDAX, much cheaper if you do a market order at .25% and 0% if you do it as a limit order (can be more of a pain if the price is volatile that day though making setting the limit price difficult).

1.5% is not terrible for a full service retail exchanger I don't think. Not too bad for the convenience
