Nothing else at near a reasonable fee.

Unless you want to use your card to buy Lindens and swap them for bitcoin.

Or think if some other way like that.

not too interested in the fees so much. Coinbase charged 3.99% to use the cards for instant purchase. Just need it for convenience for those insisting in using cards.

    something other than coinbase

    coinmama.com
    buy.bitcoin.com
    cex.io

One of the big exchanges started doing it too, with a high fee. It might be bitstamp.

A couple weeks later they sent me a coupon to try and entice me to buy which essentially wiped out the credit card fee.

Just something to keep in mind if you're not in a rush.

Don't know if you need to register a bank account, but under $1000 the fee is 8%. $1000-$2500=7%, $2500-$5000=6%, over $5k= 5% https://www.bitstamp.net/fee_schedule/

I did mention it, just was having an old man moment and didnt feel sure I had the name right when posting

Why is it one of the best?

    Fees are still quite high there;

    CREDIT CARD PURCHASE
    Purchase amount Fee
    $100 / €100 8%
    $250 / €250 8%
    $500 / €500 8%
    $1000 / €1000 7%
    $2500 / €2500 6%
    $5000 / €5000 5%

Plus whatever your card charges for a foreign processor, plus whatever premium the banks add for changing US$ to Euros if required.

hefty. By chance you wouldn't happen to know what the preset limit is right off the bat if they create an account and use their card?

I appreciate you posting the specifics. Maybe it's because I buy $5000 when I need it there. But 5% seems reasonable to me for a CC purchase in today's marketplace. It's not optimal (obviously) but if you want BTC in a hurry I think it's fair.

Maybe Soxwin can confirm but I think you can purchase up to 5k at a shot immediately.

Yeah I agree. I said the same thing when it first came up. 5% seems fair for the convenience to me if you want 5k.

I am a newbie to cex. Once you get your card verified, how do you send bitcoins to book and how to you generate an address at cex to receive bitcoins? Thanks.

First you obtain a new receive address from the bookmaker for your deposit, then find the option to send bitcoin in your wallet.

Click around in your account at CEX and I am sure you will find the option to deposit there by bitcoin if you look.

Any tips on getting verified? I’ve uploaded a selfie with card 6 times and it keeps getting rejected.

Do they give you a reason for the rejection?

Most likely will be that you are taking the photo from too far away. They want to be able to read the ID next to your face.

make sure you can see all of all four edges, and the background is not all white.

if its not that, I'd ring them and ask
