Your fee is too small you cheap fukk.

Make it 0.001 and just don't buy a Big Mac that day if you're worried about saving money.

i use kraken/coinbase so i have no control over that fee... believe me i would much rather pay $5 than have hold risk of hundreds

3 hours and still 0 confirmations

Mikey I don't know anything about BTC but ran those numbers through a BTC converter on google and it looks like you're paying $1.17 in fees on a $91,000 transaction, is that correct?

That's a lot of moola in BTC brother, glad to see someone doing well

that whole transaction isn't me, and withdrawal limits are pretty much $10k/day on bitcoin everywhere... i sweat the price movement on 10k enough, 90k and i might start throwing things waiting all day.

normally i wouldn't care, but there's a hard fork in about 10 hours which coinbase doesn't support, so i could easily be getting screwed out of 500 if this goes too long

    29000 unconfirmed transactions at moment

few months ago $1.17 or $2 tops was more than enough to push through quick when unconfirmed # was a lot higher

now people are talking $6 ? thought it was supposed to get better as time went on not worse

I agree the fees are absurd and now there are delays in transfers from what I've seen.. Garbage.. Makes me not want to use bitcoin period when you factor in the high fees with every transaction...

Almost ready to go back to using ccredit ccards and then just cancel the card the next day after the charge goes thru to avoid any further fraud and CC number compromising.. No fees with CC's..

Most exchanges don't let you choose your fees. I'd guess that's his situation.

The congestion today is owing to the hard fork tonight.

I'm going through the hell of waiting for $6000 in usd tethers, confirmed sent, no word on receiving end 6 hours ago.

Sending from Polo, I couldn't choose fees.

i realize that, but kraken won't send me wire transfers and gemini isn't in wisconsin yet

for now it's the lesser of all the evils for someone like me that wants something easy

today actually worked in my favor for once... made a few bucks even with those silly fees... usually i'm on the wrong end of price movement

    what does tethers mean?

good luck... i was sitting on that 10k all day, the 350 move in my favor could've easily been 350 against me ($700 difference in 10k isn't something people should be comfortable with)

tether is a coin version of a dollar. it's tethered to the usd, so 1 tether always = $1, BUT you can move it around as easily as any other crypto. tethers are the central feature of any and all crypto arbitrage operations, including mine.

jamie dimon says bitcoin is a scam, helping drive the price down from 5000 to 3000... says his traders would be fired for trading it... and then his company is the biggest buyer of it the next day, through a bitcoin fund

WHOA, possibly huge news: a friend of mine, someone I trust, said he's successfully sold futures of BTG at this market, pricing about $400: https://yobit.net/en/trade/BTG/BTC

I'm gonna sign up right now and try to sell. If I'm successful, I'll come back and confirm.

Get your BTC somewhere BTG friendly right now, friends, it's possible BTG might not be junk, after all.

he had zero, zip, zilch to do w/ the crash to 3k. that was all china; he just opportunistically made his comments when he saw it coming.

you didn't have to be a genius to see it coming. for example, this dumbass pegged it pretty good right here on our own boards, two days before dimon said a word: https://www.sportsbookreview.com/for...ulp-maybe.html

he definitely had more than zero to do with the drop, i had 2 clients/friends that sold some based on the jamie dimon comments and it was front page news on yahoo finance, dropped right after his comments... we were getting these kinds of articles so to say nobody sold on that news is incorrect imho

yeah it was already slipping the 2-3 days before he made his comments (on china news)

in the crypto community i know they gave no credence to his comments, but in the stock market community they did, and the people in that world deal in millions of dollars... not the 5k-50k stuff that many crypto guys are playing with

if there was an easy way to buy bitcoin in ameritrade/etrade/schwab/chase/fidelity/etc accounts, it would be worth a heck of a lot more than 6000... my clients with tons of money ask me about it all the time, i'm not even close to an expert but they know absolutely nothing and still want to buy $500k worth
