I thought the senate was voting on how cryptocurrency would be viewed in regards to capital gains this week. I could be wrong.

It's tough to get technical with cryptos; so many have gone up so much so soon. Bubble? Maybe, I'm sure there will be pullback but it sure looks like banks are warming to some of these and it's starting to hit mainstream news.

This usually means a crash, but I think these all have a way to go on the upside. The days of $700 BTC may be over.

I'm holding a whole bunch of regret myself.

Not long ago at all. I bought my first BTC at $300 and it went to $400 right away, before getting it to a book.

    That felt great.

    Now look at it...lol.

Right now I'm keeping a close eye on the 'Market Cap'. It is currently over $100 billion dollars.
It was only at $30 billion 6 weeks ago. If it drops back down to $80billion I would be concerned; but I don't see that happening because there a lot of NEW people putting money into cryptocurrencies the last 3 months. There are a lot of new coins/tokens that will support and build up the two big coins, bitcoin and ethereum.

where do you all keep your cryptocurrencies? For now, I keep mine in coinbase and poloniex but looking into buying one of those offline hard wallets. Any suggestions? I'm looking at one of these unless anyone knows of something more secure?

thanks, I'll look into it. I'm going to get one next week for sure.

Do you know if you can keep numerous different cryptocurrencies in these hard wallets or just bitcoin?

I think they come setup for a few of the major currencies but you need to install extra software on them to support other/new types.

I don't think it's uber technical but it's definitely not simple from what I know.

If you really want to keep heaps of different currencies on it I'd probably research that angle first. Someone will be producing something that is point and click soon, if not already.

Ive been looking into about 200 different cryptos in hte last week.

I think the one with the most long term potential is Monero or Zcash...... for a cheaper buy Ripple XRP could be a long term hold good one also as they are working closely with about 9 international banks right now i believe.

My Trezor is topnotch. Bulletproof security. I've heard a lot of great things about the Nano, also.

I heard it is almost impossible to get one right now because the orders went through the roof the last month.
