    Wallet hacked?

I just had 1.4K in my blockhain wallet automatically sent out without me doing it to a unknown address? Had anyone ever had this happened to them?

I haven't seen anyone post about that happening here before. But have read of a couple of instances a few years ago.

    Did you have 2Fa setup?

    Has Blockchain been any help?

So this is what happened. Been using it for a while. $1.4K showed up in my wallet from i dont know where. I checked my transaction to see where it can possibly come from. I see on the 9th of May i received $1.4K but on the 9th my wallet balance didnt reflect that i received $1.4K. Until this afternoon, i logged in my wallet i see the 1.4K in my balance. Why did it say on the 9th i received it and until today it shows up in my balance. While i was logged into my wallet, somehow the 1.4k was sent out on its own? I literally saw the 1.4k sent out when i was logged on? Is it a glitch or an i being hacked?

    I would be too.

Dont use that wallet again is my first advice.

Open a new wallet and dont use the same password.

Go to malwareremoval.com and have one of their experts help scan you devices for keyloggers.

If you use the google 2FA then just having your email account hacked can let them get past that.

If you use TOR to connect to your wallet could also result in a malicious exit node tricking your connection into appearing encrypted, but they are secretly stealing the information without you knowing.

It's good that it wasnt your money to start with but do try to find out an explanation. it's intriguing and worrying from what you have said.

Perhaps your missing the point. You got one thing right, it wasn't my money. The point is I had a transaction SENT OUT that I DIDN'T do myself. I am concerned if I had my own money in there and it gets sent out to a random address that I didn'the initiate then I have a big problem.

It happened to me sometimes that Blockchain worked really slow and then upon login I couldn't see my balance - it was rectified by itself after several hours (and it happened more than once) - but I assume that's not your case, right?

I didn't think they could "correct" anything.

Did you notice if the original tx sent to you was ever confirmed Hello?

Yes, both tx were confirmed. The transaction that occured on May 9th did not reflect on my account until yesterday. Don't know why it took 4 days to show up.

If someone stole from me, I'd probably use google and find the support myself rather than ask people in a sports forum to do my research. But whatever.

If you have 2-fa enabled, it can be pretty much guaranteed that the "hack" (as you call it) didn't occur on their website, but rather on your device.

If someone had a way of circumventing 2-fa security, there would reports of thousands of stolen bitcoin, not just $1400 worth.

This is like complaining that $1400 showed up erroneously in your bank account, and then suddenly disappeared. Definitely worth checking out and changing wallets, etc., but it's not like you lost a single penny.

Yesterday I logged into my wallet and saw my balance was 1 btc higher than what I thought it was. Looked like a transaction was missing. Just now I logged back in and the balance is 1 btc less, back to the amount I thought it should be. And the last transaction is now appearing when it hadn't yesterday.

Almost sure this is what happened to OP.

I can't find other references to this happening via google.

    What are you thinking happened?

Have you asked blockchain.info about it?

I think it was just some kind of display issue. My last transaction wasn't showing which made up the 1 btc difference. Once the last transaction was displayed, the correct balance was there.
