I don't see the benefit of BITCOIN for depositing in sportsbooks

I'm new to using it so maybe doing some things wrong

-Bought some with a prepaid card, ridiculous fees like 3%

    -Then got charged transaction fees

-The books don't cover these charges

-Their bitcoin price quote (the book's) always seems to be below the price I bought it for

-Supposed to be instant, but if you use blockchain like recommended it sure isn't

-Low weekly limit using a card. Can buy using bank account but the first purchase isn't approved for 8 days? And then it still takes days on purchases after that? Do they at least give you the price you bought it at or the price when they get your funds?

I feel like I'm losing a piece everywhere I turn with this method

do you have any bitcoin ATMs near you? Fees are usually 5%-10% but it's the best way IMO. Buy bitcoin at the ATM with cash, send to bitcoin wallet (takes seconds to receive) then send btc to btc sportsbook (with Nitrogen takes seconds). Never an issue.

Sending BTC to a book like 5dimes however typically takes much longer.

Beats the alternative for me, which is depositing via debit card. Hate doing that, looks shady on my bank statement, and often have my bank flag my account and freeze my card thinking it's fraud activity.

It takes time to get upgraded on your debit

If you think your are getting fleeced by the BTC method then just do something else, but it is the best way currently

My blockchains are always instant and 40ish minutes to Heritage but I don't deposit too often so I dunno

makes sense, I just put in a random amount to buy and it said it will be available on Tuesday. Not waiting 6 days lol.

I know not everyone has the luxury of being close to a bitcoin ATM but I'd rather pay slightly higher fees than wait days for it to go through.

Curious, how many purchases does it take until it becomes instant?

the more you use it the more you can send, but yes the fees are high.

Can't beat it for cashing out though. Goes from sportsbook tuesday morning and get it to hit my bank account wednesday morning.

Coinbase charges like $20 on a $500 purchase, a 75 cent transaction fee, no book covers these fees, and for example at 5dimes you end up with $490 because the price is different

Coinbase isn't going to steal your credit card, and some books won't give bonuses for ************, and some won't let you cash out to bitcoin if you don't deposit that way, meaning it will take longer on the backend.

Bitcoin is alright. Only thing that sucks about it is it's a gamble to know how long transactions take. Sometimes 5 minutes sometimes 24 hours. But it is the closest thing to how netteller used to be years ago which was the best.

Everything you said is 100% correct. You just need to wiggle your way around these things. Took me about 3 months to learn everything and get it down pat.

I deposit using Blockchain on 5dimes and transactions never take more than 5 mins. Bitcoin is for ease of use and quick payout times. Depositing via a debit card, you usually have to jump through hoops of verifying your account e.t.c, and harder to cash: takes 3 - 5 working days for money to get to the bank sometimes. And don't get me started about bank holidays...

you can purchase $100 instant after you verify your debit(i believe) --- then $300 after a few months

i am up to $1000 instant on my debit now which took 4-5 months i think

I agree with you but wait for that 1 transaction that takes 28 hours. It's frustrating. 9 out of 10 transactions are good with bitcoin but every once in a while it's a fukin headache and makes you wish you used money transfer.

The more experience you get with bitcoin the better off you will be. Create a stockpile into Kraken so you can exchange back and forth. Then you can sell bitcoin short and you have both ends covered. I actually think this is as good and fast at moving money in and out of sportsbooks that has ever been. Books that use it have to be liquid and The clusterfvcks of the government seizing processor money might be over???

The ACH system takes 5 business days to confirm the tx is valid. If that does not suit you, then use another method to get your funds in.

ItBit offers the option of wire deposits for a $20 fee and takes less than 24 hours. Wallofcoins, Paxful and Locabitcoins can all get you coins in minutes and can be paid for with cash deposits, ewallets, gift cards and other methods.

If you dont like paying a fee for a FULL SERVICE exchanger like Coinbase, then use a trading exchange and do the trade yourself. Coinbase has their own trading exchange attached to it so you dont even need to make a new account to do that. Or use Kraken like many other posters do.

Bitcoin basically only way now if you do not want a lot of hassles

If you do not withdraw and deposit a lot I guess other methods work
