Fairlay has owner(s), originally 1 man, then there are 2 or 3 market makers that seed the market. For the most part, they work as a book rather than an exchange.
Interesting. Do you know anything about the market makers? They're known to hit Pinnacle hard off of 500 mBTC CBB totals bets -- which suggests they are profiling bettors more than hedging risk. In any event, I hope the platform grows in popularity and becomes a legit exchange.

    1. 1xbit has small limits and will cut you off in days.
    2. The player has been around the block and was a player at 1xbet in the past.
    3. 1xbet has accused players of match fixing and multi-accounting where they confiscated money.
    4. 1xbet requires KYC but 1xbit is an anonymous bitcoin only book.

The player should be paid even if he multi-accounted. The guy seems sharp enough not to leave a trail if he did multi-account. I can't see 1xbit having any proof of wrong-doing.

As I said, it's some guess work on my part about the player and I'm not condoning multi-accounting nor am I accusing him of multi-accounting.

If they added Golf, I would be all over it. Would love to have a Betfair equivalent for U.S. golf bettors.

    Odds at Fairlay

Fairlay is offering the best lines in most sports. I'm surprised more people aren't using it.

I've been using it this week and really liking it. Reminds me of the old Mansion exchange.

    Pros:
    • Reduced juice and decent limits on everything.
    • Tons of alternate lines are offered.
    • Payouts and deposits are free and usually quick.
    • Zero commission on sports.
    • Potential for a true exchange down the road (right now, it's really only the MM making offers).

    Cons:
    • No idea of the how well-funded the owners or their market marker are.
    • Anononymity doesn't seem to be a priority (anyone with an API can apparently see which userid is betting a given game -- I have not confirmed this first-hand).
    • The MM hits Pinnacle pretty hard in response to certain bet amounts/types/users.
    • It appears to be run by a very small group of people.
    • Interface needs work. It's esp. counter-intuitive for American-style odds. The site itself is also pretty sluggish.
    • They tend to close games 2-3 min. before Pinnacle does.

This is def. a work in progress, but well worth using if you lack access to Pinnacle. If things break right, I think they could become a big player within 2-3 years.

Evo34 are you still using Fairlay? Any updates on them you can share as SBR has still not rated them..

I would be all over Nitrogen... if they lowered the Vig more. I think it's still just a tad too high.

I'll take my risk with Fairlay. Overall better odds.

kona, or anyone... about fairlay.... do you deposit whatever amount of bitcoin you want there and place multiple bets, and then request payout whenever you wish? or it this the book which automatically pays each game after a win? I know there has been multiple threads about fairlay but just looking for a quick answer.

Also do they allow "anonymous" player accounts, or do they require KYC info?

I'm looking to deposit for example 0.5 bitcoin (5 grand approx), then place bets on several games until I reach a 1 bitcoin goal, then cashout. Is this workable at Fairlay?

They are Anonymous UNLESS you commit acts like mixing schemes BETG did...He is only person they have ever asked a KYC from..Yes it is instant withdrawals they charge a .5mBTC fee but they process them instant.....You can withdrawal any time it keeps funds in your account until you request it.they do charge .5 mBTC or for priority 1mBTC for withdraws but the .5mbtc is fine now with network being good shape ...It has its quirks the site but once you get use to it it has great odds and instant pays well worth it

anyone wager Hockey and Baseball at Fairlay? do they offer the standard main 3 bet types in these sports?

    moneyline
    totals
    runline / puckline

I've been getting familiar with the site, haven't used it yet. So asking if anyone actually has made these types of wagers there? for both NHL and MLB

Little K, lets say one withdrew $100 from Fairlay to personal wallet. What
amount would hit that wallet with the .5mbtc fee?

At the registration screen there are 2 ways to register. One
by a special URL, and another the regular way. For a non-tech guy, what would
you say is the better way? I don’t even know what the first method is.

    Thanks

I've been resisting learning this stuff, but I gotta start cutting down on what I call "transmission fees." Miners fees are the correct term. To overcome the 4.5% sportsbetting vig is tough enough, but then getting whacked with exorbitant transmission fees, well, its almost impossible to overcome that.

register as the 'normal' account thats the way my account is set up....if you withdrawal say 10mBTC you get 10 mBtc sent to your wallet and .5mBTC fee gets subtracted from fairlay account...If you are sending a deposit unless its huge send it to segwit address they give you as that one is free the legacy charges .2mbtc fee.....the site you will have to get used to but once u do for staright bets its odds are very very good plus instant payouts

good info...but I do worry about depositing a significant amount (.5 BTC = half a bitcoin), and if able to run it up to 1-2 BTC will they payout

I'm not worried about the one isolated guy who was mixing

I'm saying it sounds like Fairlay might not deal with larger amounts too often....how would we know??

No you are fine they are very transparent with all players funds in coldwallet that they update all the time on twitter...look at there t/c towards last one very transparent...I have seen some huge payouts too from peeps never a issue...I have moved over 20 btc in and out never a issue....Moneyshot has moved alot too in here...I once saw a guy cash out 500mbtc from a win on russian woman badminton...many other 1000mbtc plus and well higher too

Fairlay is a great alternative for posters who can't use Pinnacle. And just like Raiders said above... it runs like a sportsbook and not necessarily an exchange.

Overall.... they pay. I miss the days of Pinnacle.

My tenure at Fairlay was brief. 5 minuets into a session (in which I set my preferences) comes a message: THIS WEBSITE HAS BANNED YOUR IP ADDRESS.

But Fairlay, I hardly knew ya.

Massachusetts. I can't figure out how to change my IP address, LK. I searched the internet for "How to change IP settings for Windows 10." I just can't seem to find "Internet Protocol Version (TCP/IPv4) Properties. I read one can shut their Wi-Fi modem off for a while, then restart, and that might change one's IP address. I reluctant to click anything I'm not sure of. Ya think I should try shutting down modem and restarting? Right now, when I goto Fairlay, it says:
The owner of this website (fairlay.com) has banned your IP

LittleK, wouldn't that constitute "multiple accounts", which we know is a major offense in the sportsbettin industry?

Can you let us know when, at your home PC, the "This IP has been banned" message goes away?

Roscoe... did you accidentally forget your log in or password on your acct? You must remember if you used lower or uppercase for each character. It will automatically deactivate your acct for 4-6 hours until you enter the correct info. 1 letter off either way.... will automatically deactivate and restrict your acct. It happened to me.

If you totally forgot your acct log in... try to make another acct using a different email address. It's the only thing you can do. Customer service is horrible at times.

Yeah, that's possible MS. I'm not to proficient on a cell phone, and prefer to do sports betting on my home PC. I'll try makin another account with another email address on my home PC. I wrote my username and password down and had it right in front of me when trying on my cell phone, but I still might have F'd up. Thanks a lot for the help. I would hate to have $4000 at a web site and then see "This site has banned your IP address." Luckily for me I'm just tryin to get situated at Fairlay and enjoy low vig. I'll keep tryin, and appreciate yours and LittleK's help.

Wow, my Fairlay screen re-appeared. I shut my Wi-Fi modem down for a while and started up again, if that had anything to do with it. Hey fellas, at Fairlay "taker" obviously means you're bettin that team, correct? Below that it says odds: 2.000 mBTC 0.10. What would that translate to regular sportsbetting speak? Its below the BOS -1 @ WASH game. Is 2.000 non-American odds for (-110)?

No taker means it’s a instant match only it won’t save bet if no match...maker taker is if no match it will keep open the wager at ure odds until a match or wagering closes...you can change to American that what I do In tool icon preference on top

boston is -103 @-1 and wash +1 at -105 right now in your example
