If bitcoin crashes all of these bitcoin only books are done. Or if government steps in and bans bitcoin like I think they will do eventually.

    huh?

Why would the book be gone, if a currency loses its value?

Did the books close their doors when USD dropped by over 20% in 2009?

The book like Nitrogen will still take your BTC tomorrow even if they're worth a dollar, simply because they do not convert coins into the more common fiat currency like USD or EUR.

The only way Nitro goes out of biz, is when BTC completely disappears from the face of the earth.

I guess. But I really think it is only a matter of time before U.S government steps in and makes bitcoins illegal, at least in the U.S. You are already seeing some bitcoin places like coinbase and circle banning customers for using bitcoins for gambling. It will become like what happened with Neteller. Only a matter of time.

and when bitcoins leave, another cryptocurrency such as ethereum replaces it.

Extremely unlikely the government would ban Bitcoin, and even if they did it would be impossible to enforce such a ban. It's much more likely that they begin to implement more and more regulation especially for any Bitcoin related companies operating out of the USA (see Bitlicense).

In any case Bitcoin and by extension any kind of cryptocoins are nearly impossible to completely restrict the usage of due to smartphones and the ability to meet traders locally. If online exchanges like Coinbase and Bitstamp were to go down all that would happen is that everyone would move to LBC and MyCelium. If Google were to take those apps down, than they would be replaced by unsigned APKs that would use geolocation to match you with the nearest Bitcoin trader.

Nitrogen is the bitcoin version of Pinnaclesports. Nitrogen clones their lines and offerings but they have near instant deposits and withdrawals.

What types of limits does Nitrogen have?

If I remember correctly, last time I was looking at opening there, their limits were embarassingly low..

Can someone comment on the limit for a MLB money line bet?

I use nitrogen as my "stick and move" book. Rarely, if ever, do I keep a balance on there. If I like a play, and want a quick payout, I go for it. It's so instant that if I want to take a quick stab at something and cash out right away it alleviates the hours, or even days, of waiting for the payout. Pretty solid imo

They put the limit next to the line if you want to look. Limits are the same for everyone.

Betcoinsports has the Pacman fight -196/+191. It's not up at Nitrogen yet but they've had 100 BTC limits on big fights in the past.

Only reason to play there is the fast 24/7 payouts. It's horrible you can't even parlay sides and totals on anything. Only book that I know of that does that. It's not corelated. Corelated is when you parlay spreads and totals which you can't do anywhere, not moneylines.

Solid book if you're looking for good lines on straight bets.

The limits are kind of low, but payouts are lightning fast.

They are not very fast at grading games. Just a warning. Sometimes they are quick sometimes can take 45 minutes, you never know but it is frustrating.

What's strange is that they had the fight up on 4/7, then took it down. I bet "draw" two days ago.

now that you mention ive seen a few things up and then down. masters golf same thing it was up then down on tuesday, up on late wednesday. if they had it tight i might take more shots. the way they handled ncaa tourney and baseball now by not allowing sides and totals on same game game drops them waaaaaay down in my book tho

Agree that Nitrogen is no where near an A book with the limited betting options. With that said, anyone know why Pinnacle doesn't post totals on many major college basketball conference games? Tried betting a game that was on the board with every offshore on the SBR odds except them? Saturday noon, late season ACC game? Consequently Nitrogen didn't have it being a clone of Pinnacle.

I read that Nitrogen does not convert bitcoin to usd while the funds are in your account. Is it easy to tell how many bitcoins equals "x" amount of dollars? Just seems like it would be a real pain in the ass to know exactly how much you are betting

There is no conversion...everything stays in BTC.

Never used bitcoin before so I wasn't sure how complicated it was since the currency is always fluctuating.

right...there are a ton of free websites, apps and wallets that you can use to get the latest rate - most of them will have a build in calculator to help you with conversion.
