What's a better strategy...Solid coins or pump n dump?

I got into this late but at maybe a good time or the end who knows.
I decided to buy NEO when it dipped to 115 then I bought at 122 an 136
It seems to be a solid coin with 10 Neos im hoping it goes to 400/600
Also I may start to buy GAS as that is the same family and climbing currently as well.

My Bro says pump n dump he looks for coins like TRON that go between 06 to 09 coins like that
he buys 300 worth hoping for the 3 cent gain then dump.

If you can get new coins right as they come out its perfect the problem is getting a new coin.

Of those of you that are into crypto whats a good selling spot for NEO?
The boards been very red lately yet NEO does well (GAS also)

IOST just recently came out its 07 but doesnt look promising any opinions?

I realize 4 Januarys in a row crypto has crashed or semi crashed
Does it rebound again?

My thinking on Ripple is it has become the poor mans dream that wont happen

Pump n Dump is bad idea with alts unless you are operating one of the organized groups doing it.

Even if you join one of the groups organizing them you are likely to get caught by people getting in before you and all you do is give them the profits.

And for people like your bro, not involved with that but trying to look for spikes, so many of them are just blips caused by these groups, particularity the penny alts.

Think we need to be a bit more sophisticated than that to get the 'risk free' profits these days.
