I know you can't even fathom living without betpoints dickwad but many of us don't need them. I'd be more than happy to give them up to regain chat privileges. Actually when the points system was implemented was when this site took a turn for the worse. Guys like you showed up. Before then, the ghost problem was minimal and most threads stayed on topic and were related to sports and betting. Now this place is infested with racists like yourself begging for points to get a BK gift card. So again you are completely wrong. If more posters would give up their points, this forum would be a better place.

I'm loaded at all the books I trust with my money. I've already got more money offshore than I feel comfortable with. But most of all, being a "pro" here offers me absolutely no benefits. It's a good program but it just doesn't offer me anything. If I ever wanted to be a pro here I'd just donate to the doctors without borders. I already donate them anyhow and have actually traveled with them. Great cause.

Chat is not worth me putting $200 into some shitty book that has been given an A or A+ rating because they pay advertising dollars here. But it is worth me giving up all of my betpoints forever.

And I couldn't be happier for both TTwarrior and SBR that he is finally a pro. I know that is a big accomplishment for both and I'm sure Lou and John are quite happy to not be fielding his emails regarding this issue any longer.

Why is a guy who joined over a year after the Points program was implemented telling us how the forum was so much better before the Points were around? From speaking with him in chat, I can also stipulate that the guy has intimate knowledge of forum posters and politics dating back to at least 2008, but works hard to play it off as just a new guy who is infatuated with SBR.

He doesn't want to become Pro in any fashion because then SBR would have proof of whose ghost he is. It's as simple as that, and the fact that he's scheming on ways to get back into chat without revealing any personal info about him only proves that making the chat room Pro-only was a necessary move, at least from a ghost control standpoint.

Who were you before, Capper? You mentioned Gamelive many times before and seemed to be in private/IM contact with at least a few of the Dirty 30, are you one of them? You'd enter chat and leave quickly many times if you saw someone you weren't comfortable ghosting in front of (Mods & savvy old-time chatters), so let's stop pretending that you're just such a nerd that you've spent thousands of hours reading old threads since you joined to know all kinds of arcane details about what SBR was like years before you claim to have been aware of its existence. If you are not a Pro your points are kind of worthless anyway so it's not much of a deal.

The problem we had is guys would get themselves banned and simply re register. That makes it difficult to control. Pro's by and large do care about being banned.

It's very easy to upgrade to Pro and its not a big deal. Like you said you could just throw a little to charity. Maybe you should re consider.

Yeah, Tricker, I got the impression as well that it was a ghost account shared by many people, all infatuated with SBR and desperate to be here in one context or another. Some were more brazen and worked harder to initiate conversation with some of the old guard, with obvious knowledge of our interests and hot-button issues. Others were more shy and unassuming, while still more just wanted to be a fly on the wall and listen to our discussions without saying a word. You never know what you're going to get with him, except that it's going to be a cover for whoever is really communicating with you.
