The whole new format was for ratings

The original way they played the WSOP ME was not tv-friendly

They had to show stuff on tape delay

Then they started doing the November 9 for the final table and now it's changed again to play it out in July to avoid a long break between play, I guess

Use this site for tournament results. It contains around 60% of tournaments. Blumstein has won over $320,000 in other tournaments

    So much trolling going on.

Salas rivers a nut flush (runner runner hearts to beat trips) and Ott bets into him.

Any poker player knows with a short stack, you just simply go all in.

Salas sits there for like 3 minutes stalling as if he can't figure out what to do.

Salas was painfully slow to act. Very tilting.

Biggest troll job of the night goes to Blumstein consoling Hesp after the cooler though. "Hey man, you had 2 pair, that hand is sooooo good don't worry about it"

Happy with my Pollack pick since he seems to be the only real poker player left but have a feeling Blumstein gets a few more luckbox runouts and takes it down Joe McKeehen style with plays like this...

Hand #75: Dan Ott raised to 2.7 million from under the gun and Scott Blumstein three-bet to 6.6 million from the hijack. Ott paused for a moment and then called.
The flop came 8d 4c 2h and Ott checked. Blumstein bet 4.5 million and Ott called.
The turn was the Ac. Ott checked for a second time and Blumstein bet 7 million this time. Ott wasted no time and called.
The river was the Qh and Ott checked again. Blumstein thought for a moment and moved all in, putting Ott to the test for his last 16,350,000 chips. Ott went into the tank for about a minute and then folded.

    Ott: Js 8s

    Blumstein: Qd 10c

Donk bet his way into a winning river and can't get paid off lol

yeah I saw Blumstein consoling him but I think the players legitimately like Hesp so Blumstein felt bad he crippled Hesp.

    Major cooler.

Amateur hour with certain players on SBR poker stalling with the nuts but that's only for like 30 seconds due to SBR clock.

    Live, it's even worse.

Sitting there with the nuts for minutes on end like "hmmm, should I fold this?"

Pollak has almost 3 million in cashes according to the site PO posted. Other guys are real amateurs in terms of big stakes tournaments.

yisman obviously involved in this somehow... I notice the dealer wear secret service style ear pieces, can only assume he hacked the frequency they're using and instructed the dealer to turn that 10 and ruin my Pollack bet.

Hand #101: Action folded to John Hesp in the cutoff and he raised it up to 3.5 million. Blumstein called on the button and Benjamin Pollak defended his big blind. The flop came Qd 9h 9d and Pollak checked. Hesp bet 5 million and Blumstein raised to 12 million. The decision was back on Pollak and he tanked for a minute before calling. Hesp folded. The turn was the 10d and both players checked to the Kh on the river. Pollak checked for the third time and Blumstein paused before reaching into his stack to put out a bet worth 8 million. Pollak was clearly in agony over the decision, but after about two minutes in the tank he decided to fold.
The audience later learned as the delayed live stream caught up, that Pollak had jack-nine in the hand for flopped trips and a rivered straight. Blumstein was shown to have had nine-ten for flopped trips and a turned full house.

Well I picked 3 people to win when there were 27 left. And I had 3 of them make the final table. One went out in 7th, the other 5th and my last guy who was near the bottom when there were 27 left in now 2nd in chips.

Ott needs some luck tonight but all he is needs is one double up to take a massive chip lead himself. His odds to win at 5dimes are +285 tonight. Blumstein odds to win are -165. I cant remember exactly what Pollards odds were but i think that it something around +450

    The French love to stall.

    ^ and wins the minimum

Not to mention butchering his AJ hand. Blumstein turns a deuce and extracts 20 mil beautifully. Gotta hand it to him he knew exactly where he stood in that spot and made the maximum. First time I've seen him do more than run good and donk bet so good for him

yeah he's not cashing in on the hands but it's ridiculous how he's catching

Weird hand just now. I think both players checked the river. I thought Blumstein would bet for sure with top pair (river gave both guys two pair).

Blumstein had two moves pay off big for him

Folding queen high flush when only the ace of hearts could beat him (saved him a bunch of chips).

Bluffing all in on the river to get Ott off the winner (that hand would've made Blumstein the short stack and Ott the clear leader).

difference between 2nd and 3rd not really that big. 3.5 vs. 4.7

Pollak praying for an 8 with these guys wearing 888poker shirts.

Blumstein folding the second nut flush was high level. Pollack should've pushed that river to get a call. Betting half your stack is basically begging for it and Blum sniffed it out.

And Pollack loses a coin flip, of course. Thank god Tony remembers me stinging him with Qui Nguyen last year so my limits were only 200 this time

Pollak with all those monsters, but since it went heads up, the best hand has been AQ. I haven't seen either player have a pocket pair and they've been heads up for like 50 hands.

Norman Chad loves to say "Chop it with a queen-high straight."

Antonio Esfandiari was supposedly part of the telecast but he didn't say or do anything that I saw. Broadcaster in name only.

Blumstein has A2 beat A8 with a deuce on the river to take it down.
