*** each entry will be allotted by draw, one MLB division (5 teams)
*** entry fee 200 pts. ( 6 entries )
*** winner-take-all ( 1200 pts )
will start as soon as 5 more players enter.

you done this pool before?
if no team completes all 10 scores before end of season, then the one with the most completions will win it (if ties occur. will split equally).
it's a common office pool (some run it up to 13) , but first time running here at sbr.
im in spider hope we get started soon

you should change it to this = first MLB division (you are randomly assigned a division, then you have all 5 of those teams) that scores in their games 0,1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9 runs wins the pool
Maybe it is clearer.

to win the pool one of your 5 teams within your division, individually will have to complete the full cycle, in order to win, and not the division as a whole.
normally this is a draft situation and more players involved, but due to shortage of time,
and players before the season ends, will run it like this for only this once.

#4 will be NL EAST
#5 will be NL CENTRAL
#6 will be NL WEST
according to their finish, they will be allotted to the players above. (thus we'll have random choice of divisions and be able to start immediately today)

yea, draft or auction is good. the only problem was that we were pressed for time for this contest because the season ends in 58 days.
for the NFL, I'm planning on 2 or 3 different pools (including survivor, squares, etc.)
and also later, for NHL and NBA. It'll be a fun winter!
for example, the AL East is clearly superior to the NL East for this sort of contest.
Shutouts are more common outcomes than 7, 8, or 9 runs.

really i would disagree ,only time will tell and we are only using 1/3 of season,best of luck in the contest
all those AL East teams get shutout, you can look it up yourself
