Looking for 3K betpoints loan for hedging my position on NCAA Bowl contest
I own a 20% stake in team FabFive.
If our captain pick a winner for the final game we are getting at least 40K points, probably more.
If our captain fails we risk getting nothing.
I want to hedge my position but i need 3K points. I´ll need it by Friday.
I really would like to hear some proposals.

I know its a lot of points and its my first big loan, but the small loans i´ve taken in the past have been paid really fast. No1here and Yisman can corroborate.

I don't think you can really decide what to hedge until you find out your best & worst case scenario. I'm usually against hedging, but the overlay here is so big it's worth it.
If pick wins he gets at least 8k points if it loses he might get 0
Are you looking to use 3k points to hedge Space? I might be willing to book that bet under the right circumstances
That´s right newguy. The 3k are for hedging the position on the Bowl contest.

If the pick loses i can still get the 8k points, but more probably i will get nothing.
For the hedging purpose i will act as the only outcomes are 8k/nothing.
you better be sure you can bet 3k points in the sbr book, i know i cant bet more than a dime

First of all i will be very happy with a money prize (up to 1000$).

Ill do that - 3,000 loan and I will use those to book the bet but it has to be the opposite side that your captain uses in final game (I am assuming at some point that will become public). You will get the 5 dimes line when you tell me what side you want - so whatever line is prevailing at that point is line we will use. Terms:
3150 if paid by Jan 18
3450 if paid by Jan 25
1% every week after that calculated on outstanding balance. Interest calculated on Monday. Minimum repayment of 40 points/week
Do you know who your captain picked? If he picked Oregon & you want to book Ohio St at the book of Waves, then I may be interested. If he picked Ohio St then I'm not interested in booking your Oregon bet, but may help you with a loan carrying a 20% interest rate. With 50pt/week late fees added, if not paid back in 30 days.
The "loan" seems ok to me.
But you have to help me with the "bet".
I am more used to ML betting than to handicap betting. When you say i can "buy down" you mean you will give me an alternative line that matches the one of the contest, is that correct?
How much time will you take to settle the bet in case i win it?
Newguy is offering me both sides to pick wich is better because i dont know yet wich one i will need.
That raises a question to me: Why are you offering only one side? Are you trying to handicap a contest position like myself?
And your loan conditions seem worse than newguy´s ones to, so i think i´ll stay with him.

No problem...If you were hedging with Ohio St, basically I would eat bet since I think Oregon will cover. If you were betting Oregon I would loan you the pts, to bet it yourself in sbr book.

Sbr book has osu +8(-115) would be a great chance at a middle...but since this is my team that could win first I'm still deciding.

It's difficult to judge on the final amount you would win not knowing what other captains have picked
That´s why i will hedge as if i would win 8k in case of a sucessfull pick of my captain

spacefrog...I will lend you 3000 for 3300 if paid back in 2 weeks. (3300 must be paid if you win your bowl points its not a choice you agree to pay back fast if you win, I saw 2 weeks in case there is some delay from SBR on grading and awarding the contest points... )
if not payback is 3600 points due at 72 points a week minimum after first week.

and I will also allow you to wager the other side of the game your manager picks at -105 prices if you post up the points in a betting tread I make. (bet at current 5Dimes reduced juice lines...)
I think the contest line is 6.5 but I am not 100% sure. I see line today is 8. If your captain bet OSU +6.5, I would assume you would want Oregon -6.5 as otherwise you could lose both bets. So to "buy" Oregon down to 8, you would pay 10 cents juice each half point. So -7.5 would be -120, -7 would be -130, -6.5 -140, etc. So you would have to take Oregon -6.5-140.
I would get you the payout no later than the next day if you won.

i prefer your loan conditions because i believe i will pay really fast (only 3150 with you against 3300 with try) but his bet offer is far better than yours. He garantees me an -105 line whatever side i choose, and you offer could lead me to an -140 line. Unless you can rethink your offer i´ll take try's one.
Please say something here fast because try is putting some pressure on it.
