So why are people taking out loans for betpoints? And are people actually paying real money for betpoints? I know you can purchase items w betpoints but why on earth would i get on here to ask for a betpoint loan for real money? Why wouldn't i just buy whatever it was that i wanted with real money? I don't get it.

and if people are getting into real debt over these betpoints, well then that's one of the most degen moves one could make.

I don't think anyone is borrowing betpoints with real cash. They borrow points for the sportsbook, poker, contests, Pro renewal, etc... Not to buy things from the store.

Some people can buy sportsbook cash and take loans out for that...others just wanna play around, or buy something else from the store without waiting for 12/day to get it. Vast majority don't get into debt with the intention of putting real money behind it, but for people who have the option, it can be a last resort to make sure they keep their promises...several people have done so when things didn't work out for them.

There's only been one person in recent memory who's borrowed points with the intention of buying them to repay, and the fact that he turned out to have lying the whole time suggests even he might believe as you do.
