You would earn the 3k extra you are trying to keep once the 3k pro is paid for much sooner by getting poker/12 pts (pro double the 6) a day/etc..

Yes I did ... I need the illusion of liquidity it gives me. I do mostly parlay plays with points, so occasionally am in a position to have to potentially decide whether or not to hedge a few k worth of payout with an odds-on play, and dropping back to 1k balance would potentially cost me more than another 6/day will gain me

The top 3 prizes (cash) are worth way more than anything below them, and it throws the value off quite a bit compared to a normal tournament structure... when you have to beat 90% of the crowd to recover your entry fee, it's a bit of a gamble (particularly when is a relatively tough crowd at the top).
