Yes, it's expensive for lenders to remain "buds" with you by having to give up any hope of seeing hundreds of dollars worth of points any time soon. It's not a question of whether or not they can afford it; by definition they can afford to lose points, nobody here makes a living off them. The fact remains that the price tag of being your "bud" is far more expensive than it's worth. If you don't understand that, I suggest hiring someone smarter than you to walk you through the big words with a dictionary to see if they can get through to you.

I'm doing just fine despite some stiffs in the past; thankfully I haven't been stiffed on as many points as you currently owe. Doubt there's much of a link between number of points and financial well-being in most cases; in your case, your perpetual zero balance is more indicative of your degeneracy than anything else. Your financial status is revealed by the contradiction in your own statements/actions ("I can buy points", "I'd like nothing more than to pay off my debts", and you not buying points).
