    Hubbard stiffed me on 1300 points

    Thanks Shaun and I hear you. I'd a much rather he just never said a word and left me wondering. Wulf is true to his word and has perfect credit with me, I have no worries dealing with him.     The big reason the file hasn't been updated is because the bigger lenders have their own guidelines in place and are pretty good at evaluating risk. As someone who was a new lender about a year ago, I can tell you that it looks a lot easier than it actually is...assessing risk is usually tricky, and in a situation like this where you have 0 recourse except for peer pressure (often useless), it's even harder. Stash and others said it correctly long ago: lending is more about helping people out then making any kind of profit; all it takes is one stiff to erase any gains you might have made, and with periodic points inflation, it's easy to end up with less real value after a loan is paid back.

    Recommend either stick with lending to friends, lending small amounts or ideally both. And always be sure to do some research...the vast majority of the time, the guy who slowpays or stiffs either has a history of doing so or has no history at all. Look for guys who have proven they're responsible enough to handle it, or be comfortable with the prospect of never seeing your points. Above all, try to make a thread for loans with terms clearly stated...that transparency makes it a lot easier for repeat offenders to be found out when they try to hit up others for loans, whereas player transfers are easier to miss.     I'm sorry for the confusion on my end. You've cleared all loans that were outstanding awhile back. Thought for some reason there was a 500 pointer but that was repayed 550 the next day. I apologize again, your credit is flawless.
