Are there any become a pro options in the works for united states members of SBR?

I had the idea I wanted to get 5k points before utilizling an option like fantasy such as dailyjoust that is since gone of course.

If the answer is NO, I think it's only fair to offer 1000 points opposed to 100 for some donating to charity to become pro.

Hmmmm.... In the two years since joining, you have accumulated exactly zero points, it seems. At that rate, you had better plan on your great-great-great grandkids being better savers and coming to your rescue for that 5000 points goal!

Charity will be the only option for the foreseeable future for US players.

A month or two back someone posted the idea of Americans paying for pro status with points. I thought SBR_John posted in that thread that he liked the idea and was going to add that option for something in the range of 3,000 points. Perhaps it was Lou rather than John, but what happened with that idea?

The option was added but it's 2750 for renewals only. US members need to donate to charity the first time they become a Pro.

how far in advance can you "pre-renew"? (looks like only a month)

i would love to add on an additional year for the 2750 right now if i could

    30 days in advance.

But check to make sure that you didn't get the free year extension when there was a policy change. Most of us don't expire now until 2013 sometime.
